I was dreadfully nervous for class that day. This was my first time at Hogwarts and I knew nothing!

I felt like a muggle!

I stumbled into class nervously and sat at a desk in the front, eager to learn.

Soon, I noticed a beautiful girl walk in. Her curls bounced when she walked, she was confident. She seemed like she'd done it all before.

She sat down right next to me and started taking out her things.

She set them on the desk and took out one of the textbooks and started reading.

I watched her for a little bit and then finally got the courage to talk to her.

"Excuse me..." I mumbled.

She looked up from her textbook and smiled at me. Her brown eyes were full of energy and she had the most beautiful smile.

"Yes?" She asked.

"I-I'm kind of new here and I d-don't know much." I stuttered.

She gives me a warm smile and pushes the textbook on my desk.

"Oh, yes! I'll gladly help you!! I love teaching and learning-"

She just went on and on. Her passion for learning and teaching was refreshing and made me smile.

Eventually, I had to interrupt her.

"Hermione, would you.... um... maybe..." I started.

Her eyes twinkled.

"Go on."

I took a deep breath.

"Hermione, would you maybe help me later and then go on a lunch date with me this weekend?"

She stared at me for a moment.

"I would like that very much..." she whispers, blushing.

I blush too and look away, embarrassed.

I looked back down at my textbook and the professer walked into the room.

Class started and when the teacher's back was turned I felt Hermoine peck my cheek.

I turned to her, surprised.

"What was that for?!" I whispered.

"Being so adorable and making me feel smart for once." She answered.

I thought for a moment.

Then whispered back, "Hermione, you are the most amazing girl I've met and you don't need a report card or people to tell you that you're smart... You are."

Hermoine looked at me and blushed.

This was the start of something good.
