I sat on my bed, typing at my computer as I telekinetically put all my stuff away. Mark had showed me the spare room, which is now mine, and said he'd give me some time to settle in. The room is fairly big and the bed is quite comfortable. I know I will only be here for a few months while on my mission but I could get used to this.

The extent of the mission was so long because I had to gain the trust of people and make it seem like I'm not an assassin spy. I was to wait a few weeks and get a good layout of where everything is; then make my way to the main computer system and shadow jump Cry into the room so he can hack the system without being caught. That's where we will find the information on the guy I need to kill.

Then I would have to wait at least another week to see if anyone found out about it and so no one gets suspicious before finding the guy and killing him. I would have to wait another couple of days to not draw attention to me before leaving without a trace of me left.

Upon leaving, Felix would come and erase all memories of me from peoples mind and Cry would remove me from the system. It's all quite simple yet complicated. None of us can predict what will happen until it's happening. Well, I can predict some things but I cant see the future so it makes it a little harder to do.

There was a knock on my door and I quickly stopped using telekinesis, leaving things where it looked like it I was unpacking by hand. I closed my laptop and put it under my pillows before getting up and answering the door. Mark stood in the doorway.

"Oh, hey. What's up?" I asked casually.

"I just wanted to see if you wanted a tour of the school and to meet my friends," he offered. I couldn't tell him I already knew the layout of the school or that would give my powers away so I just smiled.

"Sure, I'll just finish unpacking and get changed. I'll be right out," I said cheerfully. Fake. He nodded and walked away. I closed my door and quickly pulled out a grey shirt and Black skinny jeans. I pulled on a black hoodie and with a wave of my hand everything was packed away. Satisfied, I walked into the living room where Mark sat on his phone. He looked up when I entered.

"That was quick," he said surprised. I shrugged and felt him try to read my mind but I blocked him out, holding a poker face as I did. He frowned and his presence vanished but he didn't say anything about it.

"We going or not?" I asked as boredom stuck. He nodded and stood up, walking out the door without a word. We headed to the school, that only people with powers knew about, and the instant we stepped inside Mark earned plenty of looks. I guess he's quite popular here.

He showed me around, where my classes will be, where the cafeteria is and all that stuff. After showing me around the school Mark said he'll take me to see his friends. Now, usually I wouldn't care but in this case; I wanted to know who a guy like Mark hangs out with. I hadn't checked when scanning his mind since it wasn't important.

"Mark!" A voice called out as we walked into the cafeteria. I looked up to see three guys hanging around a table waving us over.

"Guys, this is Jack," Mark said motioning to me. I gave them a shy wave, wanting to come off as a shy kind of person around people so no one would suspect me as an assassin kind of person. The trio turned to me and waved.

"This is Bob. That's wade. And finally, that's Tyler," Mark said, pointing to all of them before resting a hand on my shoulder.

"H-hey," I forced a realistic stutter. I was pretty good at faking emotions, especially a shy one.

"So, what powers does Mr.Newby have?" Tyler asked as he played with a rubix cube using telekinesis. So we shared a power aye. This is interesting.

"I ah, I don't really know all my powers yet. All I know is how to fly but I can't do it well," I lied. Well, I can fly and pretty well too but I choose not to because I hate heights. Mark looked confused but I ignored his look and pretended to be embarrassed.

"It's okay there buddy. The teachers here are really good at helping students find their powers and teaching them how to use them. And hey, Tyler can fly so maybe he can help you with that too," Bob said in a positive attitude. So me and Mr tall stuck up guy share two powers. Even more Interesting.

I would search there minds and find out what powers they have but since Mark has telepathy I didn't want to risk leaving my mind open for him to see. So I decided to just ask instead.

"W-what powers do you guys have?" I stuttered out shyly. It had actually become a real shyness as I realised Mark was still looking at me. I was tempted to growl at him to stop but that would give me away so I just ignored him.

"I can manipulate electronic currents and manipulate the web and such, I'm a super genius and can learn anything within seconds," Bob said. So he was similar to all the others. If needed it will be easy to overpower him because of his electrical state.

"I have super strength and speed and can manipulate ice," Wade said making silly poses. Ken will be able to overpower his strength and speed and Felix can use fire against him.

"I have telekinesis as you can see, flight as you've been told and rock manipulation. I can level this entire building if I wanted," Tyler said in a cocky attitude. He seems to be full of himself but I can easily see him levelling this town. Felix might be able to control him to use it against him.

"And you?" I asked turning to Mark. A cocky smirk covered his face.

"Well, I can turn invisible, teleport, manipulate sound and I have telepathy. Not exactly the traditional set of powers but that's what makes me unpredictable," he said in a cocky tone. These guys must be stupid to randomly tell people their powers. Or just super confident.

"Mark is the strongest person in this school. He's the top of every one of his classes and stands as the undefeated champion in the tournaments held every month. He knows every fighting skill there is!" Wade exaggerated. Oh really now.
