I stalked through the halls right into the main room where Felix, Cry and Ken stood. They all turned to me in shock as I appeared and gasped. Before anyone could utter a word I stormed straight up to Felix and grabbed him in a choke hold, dark shadows surrounded my hand and around my body.

I watched as his eyes went pitch black and his skin turned grey. Shadows swirled around his body and in seconds he was gone. I turned to Cry to see shock and anger on his face. He tried to attack my mind but in my shadowed state he couldn't latch onto anything. With a wave of my hand he too vanished into shadows. Finally, I turned to Ken, seeing the fear vanish from his paled face and a calm smile form on his lips.

"Jack, I know you are angry, but you need to calm down. Remember, purple, red and blue," He said, not making any move towards me.

"Were you with them?" I growled. The room darkening as the temperature dropped.

"With them with what?" He looked confused. He must not have known what had happened.

"They handed me over to the boss knowing she wanted my powers. They used me this whole time!" I growled, smashing a computer set up in the room.

"What? I had no idea. If I knew I would've tried to help " Ken looked surprised and completely taken back. I knew he wasn't with them. He was too kind... He couldn't have been anyway. He came after I joined...

"Ok... ok," I said, finally trying to calm down. I closed my eyes and let him help me. When I was calm he showed his fear. He stared at the places Cry and Felix once stood with dismay. I looked down, knowing I didn't feel at all guilty but I still needed to say something.

"I'm sorry. I probably should have talked it out shouldn't I?" I said, keeping my eyes averted.

"Nah. They got what they deserved. I'm surprised it took this long actually," Ken said, making me look up confused.

"What?"

"Well, I know a lot of people are out to kill us, us being an elite team of villains and all, but I'm surprised no one has managed to kill a single one of us until how... never knew it would take one of our own to do so," Ken said, a small smirk on his lips.

"I'm surprised at how calm you are right now," I stated, my face blank.

"Oh I'm freaking out on the inside," he said, his face once again showing fear. I chuckled and shook my head.

"You're a strong one. You've seen a murder before," I said, heading over to the main control panel, which I'm surprised I hadn't broken first, and typed away at a few things.

"Yeah, but not ones that include my own team," he mumbled but I ignored him.

"We're taking over the schools," I said in a monotone. I could basically feel his shock from behind me.

"What?!" He yelled. "ARE YOU INSANE?! THEY ARE CONTROLLED BY LITERAL SUPER GOD'S!"

"And I killed one of those super gods at one point and the second is weakened and easy to manipulate. I don't need the villain school much, just Wintercrest. But I can't have those two in charge with such power. Taking control would give an advantage in the upcoming war," I said sternly.

"There's a war coming?" Ken squeaked.

"Yes. And we need to be on the winning side. Even if it means being good for once," I said, stepping away from the computer and grabbing Ken's arm and teleporting away as the base imploded. It was better than exploding and letting people know where it was.

We shadow jumped straight into school grounds, since only shadow welders could break through the force field, and stood before the Boss. Amber looked surprised and clearly weakened from earlier.

"What? What are you doing here!?" She tried to sound intimidating but her voice was quiet and out of breath. Had my dark magic really affected her that much or was it Mark?

"We're taking over the school. You can go free or you can die trying to stop me. You don't have Cry here to get inside my head," I spat. Her eyes widened for a second before they narrowed.

"What do you know?" She asked, her voice low and threatening but it didn't affect me. I knew she wouldn't attack.

"Enough. Now leave or die," I growled, my eyes clouding over as the room became cold. She glared for a second before getting up and leaving the room. I didn't care where she went, I just needed her gone. Maybe Mark can deal with her. Knowing her she'd probably go to Wintercrest... awe well.

When Mark finds out I'm here he'll leave Wintercrest defenceless and bring the team here to try to talk me out of whatever I'm thinking. I can use that as an opportunity to take over Wintercrest since people here aren't that powerful... for villains.

"Now what?" Ken asked, watching the door close.

"Tell the school who's in charge. If Mark shows up then make sure you get out of here. I don't care if he takes this school. It's wintercrest that I want. I'm going there now," I said, waiting for him to nod before shadow jumping to the apartment Mark and I once shared. I grabbed my jumper, the blue one I loved, and pulled it and over my outfit.

I looked at myself in the mirror quickly, fixing up my messy hair and hiding any remnants of my suit. No one will pay attention to my pants, they basically look like skinny jeans anyway. I looked at my faded green hair and frowned, remembering why I had dyed it in the first place... With a wave of my hand the colour faded to a brown and the green was no more. Satisfied, I casually left and headed to get some coffee before the chaos really began...
