Another training day with Mark. I was up on time eating breakfast at the table, letting Mark sleep in so I could take some time eating and have a shower before hand with enough time to dry my hair. He will never know. I was halfway through my bowl of cereal when Mark walked out of his room.

"Hey, sorry I slept in," he said in an apologetic tone as he walked up to me.

"It's alright, you looked like you needed it," I responded with a mouth full of cereal. He chuckled at my childish behavior and thankfully believe my quick excuse. I mean, it was true in a way.

"Ready for another day of training?" He asked as he walked to the cupboard and grabbed a granola bar.

"Mhm" I muffled out in response while still eating my cereal. What? It tastes good. I noticed he was watching me so I tried to eat a little faster but ended up spilling some on my shirt. I heard him chuckle before he gave me a cloth to clean myself up.

I fumbled around for a moment, struggling to clean the right spot, before Mark took the cloth from me and started cleaning it for me. I stared up at him, feeling the loopy flips in my chest and heart. (I have felt this with my amazing teddy bear and it is fucking great).

I got lost in his eyes for a moment and snapped out of it when Mark pulled away. I mumbled a thanks before putting my bowl in the sink, not bothering to clean in cause I'm lazy.

"You're not going to wash that?" He asked with an eyebrow raised when I turned around.

"Laterrrrr" I groaned, clearly expressing how lazy I am. He shook his head in amusement again before grabbing my arm, making tingles spread where he touched before teleporting us to the all so familiar arena.

I heard his phone buzz in his pocket so stepped forward to let him check it, trying to get my heart to stop racing so much. Once it was back to normal I put on a smile and turned around but it dropped when I saw a beam about to fall on Mark.

It was about to hit him when something in me made me stop it. I don't know why but the thought of Mark getting hurt made something inside my gut twist. He teleported away after seeing I'd stopped it and I let it drop to the ground. I immediately turned to Mark, seeing he was unharmed but being unable to control my worry.

"You ok? Why didn't you teleport away or use any of your other power?" I asked him in an extremely worried tone, probably sounding like a mother when their kid falls over.

"I'm fine. But lets look at the bright side! You have one more power to use at the tournament!" He responded in a cheerful tone; clearly trying to divert the conversation to a different topic.

"But you didn't even move... Do you have a death wish or something?" I pressed, not knowing why I was so worried.

"Yes... After the things I've seen and done, death doesn't seem so bad," He said, sounding extremely honest that it left me stunned. "Now, you have your answer. Ready to train with your new powers?"

I snapped out of my trance, shaking my head slightly and mentally scolding myself for letting him see another one of my powers. I can't believe I was that stupid to do that.

"Uh-h yea," I replied, pushing the thoughts back and focusing on not screwing up again.

~time skip cause I smart~

I was taking a break because I was tired when Mack checked his phone. I sat down as he did to catch my breath and not long after a loud swoosh was heard. I looked up, feeling my chest tighten when I saw Cassidy standing close to us. I quickly looked down, my breath picking up but probably seeming like I'm still out of breath.
