Distraction

Charming was a word to describe you
Awkwardly charming and endless uncomfortable pick up lines
Was a way that I found you

I really had no clue

It was just a friendship that led me to this
No way could there be anything but that
Oh no, you struck me in the hat

Brown eyes suffocating, empowering mine
Bright hair consuming my thoughts and dreams
And I wished to call you mine

So lost in thought I couldn't comprehend
Slipping away from reality
And arriving at a place so colorful
I wasn't on Earth anymore

Daydreams and endless hours
Of forever wishful thinking
But I wasn't thinking
Just sinking
Into
A
Different
World

I hate to call it a distraction
It was definitely more than attraction
My heart was no longer into fractions
Blushing is more than just a reaction
More than an action

To be with you, it was a sip of honey
Not mildew
And even flowers have nothing on you
So what will it take
For it to just be us two?
