The day has finally come and it is Axton's last game. He gave me a jersey to wear with his number on it but it did nothing to hide my bump. Being six months pregnant is the worst actually. I have gained a lot of weight but it does nothing for the feeling of falling apart at any moment due to my skin stretching horrendously. Axton and I have put a hiatus on sex for now because of awhile back I started to bleed. We looked it up and it's said to be normal, however, because my cervix or whatever is up there Axton doesn't like the risk.
A lot of students were here at this game and not a single one didn't give me an odd look. I left this place out of the blue and come back pregnant. I was by the locker rooms waiting for Axton to come out before his game. I was munching on a foot long Cow Tale to busy myself while texting Callie to save me a seat in the bleachers. Hands were placed on the side of my face and I saw Axton looking down on at my phone. I offer him some of my Cow Tale which he took from me happily. He kissed me as a thank you. I kiss him again.
"Hurry up, Dad!" A guy from the team yelled at Axton spitting out the last word making me pout.
"Shut the fuck up!" Axton snarled back.
This put something in perspective for me. I had run away from all of my imminent torment from the students at this school but Axton didn't. This is probably why he wants to quit the team because they're all jerks. I get that it's normal or rather expected for guys to fuck everything moving but knock someone up and apparently that's taking it too far. I hate people. I stood on my tippy toes and wrap my arms around Axton kissing him deeply. He held me snugly in his arms returning the kiss as well.
"Good luck," I saw releasing him making him smile at me.
He left after one more kiss bumping shoulders with that asshole. I made my way to the bleachers Gracie helped me take a seat. I glared at him but didn't deny his helping hand. Because I am going to need some help getting up either way so it's best not to bite the hand that feeds me. Compared to my body my stomach is huge and heavy. My doctor keeps telling me I'll break by the time I have my baby unless I gain some more pounds. I've been underweight my entire life which has caused a stunt in my growth leaving me nowhere over five seven. I can't just gain weight because someone told me too. It's harder to gain weight than to lose weight especially when you can't gain from fatty foods either. I want to feed my kid healthy stuff even before he leaves the womb. Such a fucking odd sentence to say.
The starting players were introduced and Axton was given a special introduction since it was his last game. I have never been to a sporting event for the school before so I'm glad I came now. Because now I know how extra our school is when it comes to this sort of thing. We have announcers. Of course, they're just regular teachers from our school but still. They spoke as if they were professionals and I was hearing commentary from the NBA or something. I'll spare you the details. The game was boring and we lost but five. Why when our team is so elite? Because a special needs boy who has to be at surgery tomorrow got put into the game during the second half. It was nice and even though we lost our school still cheered as if we won.
After the game, Callie helped me up and Axton waited for us on the court as we made our way down. When I got close enough he pulled me in for a quick kiss. He pushed my hair back giving my forehead a kiss also. Callie cooed at how sweet he is. He placed his hand on my stomach giving it some love causing our baby to do flips.
"This is embarrassing," Axton said suddenly. "My first and last game and we lose."
"You lost for a good cause," I said pointing to the boy who is surrounded by his family. He was smiling with all his might and jumping up and down. He couldn't speak but his grunts said it all.
