Chapter 7 - Music Awards

「You」

The event has started.

An introduction of the event was given through a big digital screen infront.

Since we have just debuted a few months ago the nominations we got were 'Best New Female artist' and 'Artist of the year'. The nominations themselves serves as big achievements for a newbie like us.

We were sitting in this arena with some of the biggest kpop groups of all time. Some groups have disbanded and could not longer be seen here which was such a sad thing to happen to a group.

Suddenly the first presentation begun.
It was a new boy group that I wasn't really familiar with. They performed a really upbeat and catchy song.

The five of us sat there listened and jammed with the fans and the other artists. We sang and even followed their dance steps but failed miserably since their dance steps were not easy to copy on the first try.

There was a camera moving and following some of the artists while they were singing and dancing and they would be seen on the big screen.

One cameraman went and pointed the camera at Wishly and she spontaneously sang and did aegyo and some screams became dominant probably from Wishly's die hard fans.

The camera moved from one person to the next until it reached me. My face was now on the big screen and I decided to give a flying kiss to the camera which made the crowd go wild aparently. Then the big screen was now back to featuring the group that was performing.

"Girls please go backstage, you're gonna perform next." Our manager whispered loud enough for all of us to hear.

One by one we walked and followed our manager until we reached backstage.

"Oh girls you're here. So you have to get ready. Touch up your makeup and wait until it's your turn to present." Then she handed us over to a few makeup artists who made sure our faces weren't a mess.

The boy group has just finished performing and one by one they descended the stairs.

As they passed by we bowed to them and they did the same as a sign of respect.

Before we were gonna go on stage an award was gonna be given.

The 'Best Male Performance' award was given to a boy group named Astro.

Then it was our turn to perform.

The music begun and we performed our most famous song so far.

From where we were anyone could see the banners held by the fans in front.

One of the banners had my name written on it and the word Fighting.

While I was dancing I saw the guy from a while ago from my peripheral vision. He, again, had his eyes on me.

I tried my best to focus on our performance but he was quite bothering. I didn't know why he was bothering because I was used to the stares and wandering eyes of people who I didn't know. There was just something bothering about him. He looked at me as if we've met before.

I decided to focus on performing and luckily nothing went bad throughout our entire rendition which was such a relief.

We headed backstage to be greeted by our producer, Yang Hyun Suk.

"That was a great performance girls. You did really well even through the short period of time given to you. I am really proud of you." Then we went in and gave him a hug.
