Monday eventually came around, Raph woke Mikey up giving him about 15 minutes to get ready. He changed into another long sleeve, and of course it was related to cats, it was black and on the front printed in bold white letters it read 'my cat is cuter than your boyfriend'. Taking his cat sweat pants off he put on a pair of light blue ripped skinny jeans, skinny jeans were his thing, they were just so comfortable to him.
"Mikey hurry up, 5 minutes still got to eat something and-"
Take my pills, Mikey mentally finished rolling his eyes.
Exiting his bedroom he almost bumped straight into Miwa, who was already dressed, makeup applied, and hair straightened. She was dressed in a pastel colorful hoodie, one light blue sleeve and one light pink sleeve, then on the front printed in delicate blue words it read 'Beautiful Enough', a pair of light blue shorts clung to her thighs, her were pulled up so you could read them 'Forever or Never', and her white adidas shoes flashed rainbow on the strips like reflectors.
"Morning," she warm-heartedly smiled at him and he couldn't help but wonder if she was still angry at him for not telling her what was wrong.
"Morning," he mumbled but added a hint of a smile.
After brushing his teeth and slipping on his black converse shoes, with his bag swinger over his shoulder he grabbed a package of strawberry flavored pop-tarts out of the cabinet and followed his siblings out the door.
"So I'm guessing you and Luke made up huh?" Leo decided to start up a conversation.
"You and Luke were fighting?" Miwa raised her eyebrow confused.
"N-"
"Did he do something?" Miwa asked cutting Mikey off.
"N-"
"I have gym with him I could rough him up if he did-"
"We weren't even fighting," Mikey raised his voice over his siblings conclusions.
"Then why did he come to the door saying sorry on Saturday," Leo recalled.
"I don't know, maybe he thought it was his fault that I was late," Mikey sighed, looking over at Donnie who silently listened.
Was he the only one that knew the truth?
Yeah, yeah he was.
"Well it wasn't his fault," Leo rolled his eyes.
Mikey glared but didn't say anything.
"Let's just drop the subject altogether," Donnie decided, finally coming to Mikey's rescue.Arriving at the huge high school they parted ways, Mikey sat down on the bench outside of the school and Raph, Donnie, Casey, Naomi made their way to the sophomore hall. All while Miwa met up with Trevor, and Leo met up with Ember.
He watched as Blake and Slash made their way into the building too, not even giving a second glance at Mikey when they passed.
"Hey dude," Jason plopped down on the bench, "heard you been grounded, that sucks."
"Yeah, but only until Friday," Mikey said looking over at Jason, he was smiling madly.
Which was weird for two reasons, one, it was a Monday, and two...it was Monday.
"Oh, well still it sucks."
"What did you do over the weekend?"
"Hanged with Madelyn," Jason grinned.
"Are you guys like a thing?" Mikey asks curiously grinning while seeing Luke make his way across the street to the sidewalk that lead to the schools enterance, where they sat.
"I don't really know, I'm gonna ask her out on a movie date. Do you want to tag along?"
"You mean as a third wheel?"
"Well you could go with Luke," Jason laughed, getting a punch on the arm from Mikey.
"Hey guys," Luke greeted as he approached, "what's up?"
"Oh nothing much, but I-well Mikey actually-" Mikey shoved him away.
"Ignore him-"
"He wants to know if-"
"No, ignore him," Mikey jumped in front of his taller friend, "he's delusional."
"Delusional?" Luke raised his eyebrow, looking between the two brown haired teen boys.
"Just don't pay attention to him," Mikey grabbed ahold of one of Luke's back pack straps, "lets go to my locker."
"Okay."
"See you two later," Jason, who had a wide smirk on his face nodded towards them not making any movements to get off the stairs.
"Don't be late to class," Mikey warned before entering the school with Luke following close behind.
They walk silently to Mikey's locker, neither attempting to start up a conversation they wouldn't want to finish.
Turning the little locker knob around right, then left, then right again; It makes a clicking sound as it opens.
"I know this isn't a great time to tell you," Mikey glances up at Luke, "but, I told Donnie."
Luke looks down at him a little stunned, shocked, he had no clue how to react.
"About...?"
"What do you think what about!" Mikey hisses, shutting his locker and standing up.
"About us?" Luke whispers.
"Clearly."
"No not really," Luke says with an annoyed smug look on his face.
"Hey," An all too familiar voice made Luke and Mikey jump apart from their previous rather close positions.
"What the hell are you doing here?" Mikey asks when he realized who it was.
There standing in a clean, dark green and navy blue school uniform, skirt and all. Long white socks stretched past her ankles a few inches and the only significantly sense of her fashion was her black vans that some how matched pretty well with the rest of her forced outfit.
"Oh you know, being late for the 5th time. Breaking and entering schools, the usual," Madelyn smiled smugly, leaning against the lockers and glancing Luke up and down, "well, where's Jason?"
"We just left him out front," Luke answered, taking a small step back next to Mikey.
"Cool, I guess I'll see y'all-"
"Miss Denton," a stern voice echoed down the hall as he approached them, it was the freshman English teacher, "I do believe you are not supposed to be here."
"Oh Mr. Stanford, how honored to be in your presence," Madelyn, still with the smug look across her face, she bows.
"Cut the crap Miss Denton and get to your rightful place."
Harsh.
"My, oh my Mr. Standford, is such language allowed in such a god holy place like New York High?" Her arms crossed in front of her small framed chest, mimicking his.
"Do I need to call the principal to escort you?"
"Don't you want to do the honor?"
Other students tried to listen in as they passed, not stopping in fear of receiving the short end of the straw of Mr. Standford's wrath.
"Miss Denton," he warns, his voice dripped of annoyance.
"Mr. Standford," Madelyn put her hands on her hips and swayed one one, placing all of her weight on one foot.
"I'll call security."
"Oh, I bet."
Mikey glanced back and forth from the not so tall teacher and to his feisty bestie.
With one swift movement Mr. Stanford yanks his hand held radio off the clip connected to his trousers.
Mikey sees Leo glancing his way as the English teachers rattles off in his husky voice about Madelyn being here. Leo pries his eyes off the scene as Ember wraps her arm around his waist and he takes her books from her as they walk down the hall disappearing from Mikey's line of sight when they turn the corner.
"Alright, I'm going, I'm going," Madelyn waves the older man off, "see you guys."
"Get to class," Mr. Standford snapped at the boys before following Madelyn out.
"How did she even get past the front doors?" Luke questioned curiously as they made their way to class.
Mikey shrugs, "at least we know we're screwed if someone decides to shoot up the school."
"You're a Hamato right?" A older, and taller version of Slash interrupted.
"Uh, yeah," Mikey nodded, looking him up and down, trying to find any recognition.
"By any chance you know where you're brother is?"
"You're going to have to clarify," Mikey laughed, by now he thought everyone knew he had more than one brother.
"Uh-oh I forgot there's more of ya."
He seemed a lot nicer than Slash, but he wasn't going to push to find out.
"The tall one," he struggles to describe, mentally racking his brain for more information, "he's in a sport."
"We narrowed it down to 2," Mikey smirked in amusement.
"He seems angry all the time and hangs out with Jones."
"Ohhh," he nodded, "that's Raph. He's on the hockey team and him and Casey are inseparable."
"Yeah, so where is he?" He straightened up.
"Beats me," Mikey shrugs glancing at Luke as if he was asking him, he also shrugs, "maybe World History."
"Oh, well when you see him tell him I need to talk to him."
"About?"
"Our business," he slightly snaps.
"O...kay," Mikey says, "are you Slash's brother?"
"Yeah, name's Blake, if you didn't catch it already."
"I didn't."
"Now you did," he dismissed giving a sideways glance at Luke before leaving without a mutter of a bye.
"He seems, uh, well, nicer?" Luke mutters beside Mikey and it takes him some strength not to jump after forgetting his friend was even standing there.
"Yeah, he does. I guess."
