"yeah, Ash, I'll be fine," I reassured him.
"no, seriously.. just give us a call! We're always here. Don't be scared of the management, okay? Just call us whenever and skype us every night," he instructed.
"Yes, Ashton" I replied, easily bored from his lecture.
"And please smile! People love your smile! I love your smile, smile for us, please!" He was more like my mother.
I loved how close me and Ashton were but it could get really annoying at times because of his protective nature, he treated me like a child, it was good to know I had someone like Ashton who would care for me no matter what, but it could get really annoying. Like right now, he's said the same things again and again and it was giving me a headache. I smiled at him so he would shut up, as I was already stressed about being in a new country like India for about 45 days. It made me feel so uneasy and anxious. Finally their flight was called and I thanked dear lord for it, they all gave me a final hug, Ashton hugged for a bit longer and finally left.
Now, I was alone and I had no idea what to do. The management had arranged a flat ((apartment)) for me but I realized I had absolutely nothing there in, realizing how my account balance would be loaded with money, I planned to just go to the mall and get some stuff to eat, so I could decently survive here. I desperately needed friends but I did not know if the people around me were the kind of friends I wanted to be with.
I walked out of the airport, and planned to take a cab to the mall, where I would get the required stuff. But as soon as I tried getting a cab, I realized how nobody understood my accent and I was agitated till the extreme.
"Could you tell me the closest mall from here?" I asked one of the cab fellow, or you may say the taxi fellow.
"Closet? what closet?" He asked.
"Not closet, the closest mall," I stressed on the word mall.
"You like to have vada pav? You go there," he pointed out to some weird stall which had tonnes of people around it eating some sort of thing with bread.
"No!" I snapped, "take me to the mall!"
"Oh... mall, you talking mall? I take you to phoenix mall! Asia's biggest mall!" He finally understood. Thank god.
A few minutes later he got me to a huge mall and I sighed in relief. I got down and struggled to pay him because of Indian currency. I shrugged off the wide stares from everyone around me and walked in. This wasn't going to be very easy.
A few girls, attractive girls, even tried to stalk me down which wasn't really weird because I get stalked everyday but I just chose to ignore because why should I care?
"Its Michael Clifford!" the girl whispered loud enough for me to hear it.
"It can't be. They all left today," the other one replied.
"It has to be Michael, look at his hair colour and he's wearing the same red plaid shirt!" the girl spoke.
I smiled at how they couldn't figure out it was me already.
"Oh god!!!" the other girl squealed, "he's my favorite!!! How do I talk to him? What if he finds us weird that we're stalking him?"
"I don't know!" the girl replied being excited, "we couldn't go to their concert and now he's just a few steps away from us!"
"I'm clicking a picture and posting it on twitter, tumblr everywhere saying how I was just in the same mall as Michael!" she squealed again.
I turned behind and walked to them, "can I help you?" I looked at them seriously.
"Uh no, we- we are sorry," they were actually worried how they would have offended me.
"I'm kidding," I chuckled, "would you like a picture?"
"Oh my god, oh my god, can I hug you?" the girl stuttered.
"Sure!"
--------------------------------
It was good to know that someone out here knew me, I mean we did have an Indian tour but I never thought people would recognise me like this.
Right now I was walking towards the chips section and just then I banged into a girl who was carrying huge boxes.
"Mother of fuckets!" she yelled.
I got up and helped her get up too, "what?" I asked.
"Can't you see and walk?" she yelled again.
"You were the one carrying boxes!" I replied.
"Exactly. I was carrying boxes, you could have seen,"
"Whatever. Did you get hurt?" I asked her.
"No! This is desi blood it doesn't get hurt that quickly!" she giggled.
"What is desi?" I looked at her, she didn't have an Indian accent but her accent did not sound really foreign, too.
"Desi is Indian!!" she replied quickly, "you're a disgrace to this brown land!"
"Uh sorry. I'm new here, I don't know anything or anyone here," I explained to her.
"Well, in that case, I'm Alyssa," she smiled, "now you know someone here,"
"I'm Michael," I smiled and shook my hand with her, "thank god I know someone or I was gonna die."
"Ha! Don't worry now, just pick those boxes up and I'll show you this place!" she spoke as she was leading me, I stood there a bit taken aback from her friendly attitude, she turned back and looked at me, "I'm not going to kill you, now lets go!"
