I was extremely nervous about the date, I went back to my apartment the other night, after dinner with her family. It turned out how we should go for dinner together because it was Priya's last night here, it was kind of sad but not like I knew her like I did for Urvi or Akanksha. I mean, if they went away I'd be a bit sadder, but it was still sad. Alyssa didn't seem fine, and she wanted to spend the night alone. So I let her. I mean, I shouldn't push her feelings all that much, and sometimes we all want to be alone, don't we?
She was okay today, or thats what she said but her voice much sounded like she was. But that wasn't the issue, the issue was only where do I take her for a date? I don't even know anything here. I'm such an idiot, I thought. I called up Kiara because nobody else knew Alyssa more than Kiara, probably only her mom but I couldn't be like "Hey ya know what, I'm taking your daughter for a date and I really wanna take her to my apartment and make out with her, do you think you can suggest me something?" OK. I was totally getting worked up, I wasn't doing a good job at this. Great.
I went ahead and called Kiara, I couldn't just sit here and overthink about everything, I dialed her number, "Hello!!!" I heard her on the other side of the line.
"Hey, Kiara!" I replied back, "Uh, I need help!"
"With the date?" It was like I could picture her smirking on the other side.
"Yeah..." I embarrassingly trailed off.
"I shouldn't be helping you because I'm having an argument with her right now and we're not talking,"
"What?" I gasped, "What happened?"
"Something stupid.." she trailed off not really wanting to open up.
"Uh, so can you please tell me a few good restraunts here?" I asked.
"Restraunts?" She almost choked, "Oh, right. The date," I swear she laughed.
"Whats the best restraunt here?" I asked further.
"You should take her to Hyatt, its so bloody expensive! She'll love it!" said Kiara.
"Oh, can I have their number? I want to make the reservation," I said awkwardly.
"Reservation?" Kiara chuckled, "no no. We should both go there and set it up just the way Alyssa would like!" She suggested.
"That sounds better!" I grinned.
"Cool, when's the date?" She asked.
"In about 2 hours," I replied.
"Okay! I'll pick you up," She assured and hung up.
We went to the hotel and I chose a really reserved table which wasn't like in between everyone but just for us.
"Okay, so we need flowers," Kiara practically ordered.
"Flowers?" I looked at her weirdly, "flowers on the table?"
"No! On your head, ha!" She taunted, "White tulips, okay?" She turned and ordered the guy.
"Okay.." I trailed off, I was good with dates but flowers? A vase of flowers? Are you being really serious right now? Something about it was awkward, like really awkward. Maybe girls just liked flowers in vase during dates, but it was so wrong for me. I have no clue why.
"Champagne!" Kiara squealed, "Alyssa's perfect date would start with Champagne," She said, "So," she turned around, "Two glasses and a bottle of Champagne must be here when the date starts, okay?" She told the guy.
"Alright, what else then?" I asked her.
"Ummm," She thought, "let me think...um... jazz music!" She exclaimed.
