-----(Y/N)'S POV-----
Bringing my knees further to my chest, hopelessly burying my head in my hands the tears begin to form on the corners of my eyes as I start to regain memories of last night. I felt disgusting and worthless. It was all a blur, but not a good one.
Three soldiers. Chains. Torn Clothes. Pain. Hair Pulling. Screaming.
A night that will haunt me forever.
Staring at my claws I began to think of all the possible places I could perhaps end my life by scratching myself to death. The throat was the best way to go-but I couldn't bring myself to do it. My rough fingertips slid wavering over the choker Sanda gave to me. The last and only thing I had left of my old and good life.
"Sanda, what do I do?" I whimper clutching the end of the string acting like an offering for my mother to come in sight and save me.
My ragged breathing along with my cries stopped instantly hearing the heavy door upstairs from my dungeon creak open. The sound crept up my spine, making me shiver.
Not again. Please.
I squeak cowering further into the back corner of my cell. My weak bone thin hands tugging my (H/C) roots as the footsteps become louder.
The footsteps sounded different to the footwear of soldiers, could it perhaps be the one and only friend I had made down in this dump?
"C-Coco?" I stammer as the footsteps get closer. The silhouette of the person comes into view and I knew immediately it wasn't the youthful Coco. I close my mouth tightly, furrowing my eyebrows in hesitation. As the figure came closer, if it was even possible I backed away further into the cell.
Faust.
"Lady (Y/N), I haven't seen you in a while," was the first thing that came out of his elderly mouth.
I snarled at him, "You haven't seen me in a while?! You locked me in here three damn years ago and not once you came by to see if I was still alive."
"Oh I knew very well that you were still alive, after all I had my army and soldiers take good care of you didn't I?"
"That is the biggest load of crap I have ever heard from your disgusting mouth!" I proclaim feeling this new stored away strength I had contained deep down for the old hag.
"Look they did what I ordered them to do, they gave you food, water to drink and cleanse yourself. They even gave you the benefit of company."
"Shut the hell up!" I holler, "They threw stale bread at me and you call that food? Your pathetic soldiers chucked me the smallest bucket of murky water that I had to drink and clean myself from and you're saying I was looked after?!"
I didn't even process in my brain that from my own anger I was far away from the corner of the cell, for once on my two shaking feet, and nearly spitting in the King's face on the other side of the bars. It wasn't until I felt my (H/C) roots being tugged harshly that I noticed I was this close. I whimper slightly, closing my eyes creating a wall between me and Faust's anger.
"Now you listen here pip-squeak! Just be thankful you're alive," he spat forcibly turning my head to look at his own.
"Why though?" I whisper quietly as he drops me from my hair and I collapse to the floor, "Why did you chose to let me live?"
"Because I need you, I told you that they day you came here. I need you for this day."
I look into his intimidating eyes, "For what?"
