---(Y/N)'S POV---

I leaned back against the palms of my hands, legs dangling over the stone roof's edge watching the gentle orange sunset over the horizon at the place I craved the most. Our sacred spot. Here, I was forever bonded to Natsu on my own free will, the place is as beautiful as I remember if not more. I first got here and noticed the two gravestones, each decorated with beautiful flowers, my favourite ones. But they had long wilted, there was no more life left to them. It's a strange feeling to be staring at your own grave, I felt hollow inside almost imagining if I truly had passed on. What was death truly like? It's a dangerous question because if you wish to truly know what it's like, you can't come back. It's like a curse, a permanent curse, and once you fall asleep-you'll never wake up from your dream. A chilling thought.

I gently picked a flower sprouting from the stone's top I sat over, twirling the stem in my (S/C) fingertips. It's white petals almost ready to hide forever from the winter weather later to arise next week, with the spinning flower my magic adapts opening the floral design and expulsing its scent. There was something about the flowers here, a soothing remedy I didn't want to leave. This is what true freedom really feels like. My movements weren't stalked, my joints weren't restricted and stiff. Admittedly, I haven't had a decent bath yet, except for the wash down Juvia gave me in the guild's pool area when I arrived at the guild yesterday amongst the party shenanigans. She was completely drunk and I was a little tipsy, probably not the smartest idea. I fell into a tree laughing so hard I almost peed myself.

I figured I should probably apologise to Natsu, I immediately went to physical anger and that wasn't right. I stared down at the bloomed flower in my fingers, gently plucking off its petals humming a peaceful tune. The rustling of pattering footsteps from behind me makes me smile, not looking away from the setting sun.

"I'm sorry for getting so worked up," I apologise aloud. Closing my eyes feeling the wind fan over my face, the white petals catching the wind going on a brand new journey. His gentle voice must be through his smile, "Don't worry about it. I overreacted."

Natsu climbs up the rock and sits beside me, his white scarf left as a departing gift from Igneel grazes my forearm. His palm so close to my own, his legs hang over the stone entrance to the cave next to my own. "I'm sorry too," he mumbles sounding sincere.

"For storming into the courtroom?" I raise an eyebrow as he laughs his sweet unique giggle with the shake of his head. "That but a lot more," he says.

"Then what?" I ponder. Natsu briefly looks away from the sunset, hiding his face for a moment.

"I'm sorry for...not believing in you."

"Explain?" I drag. I giggle faintly at the playful roll of his eyes.

"You know I suck at that," he chuckles, "but, I gave up on you and left you behind."

He takes a deep breath, "I-I feel like I've accomplished so much and you weren't even there to congratulate me like you always did. It-it always bothered me that you weren't there but I tried to move on because I...gave up."

I turn on my bottom to face his structure, looking away from the setting sun. I cross my legs over each other as he mirrors my actions so we're now face to face with each other. Our knees touched, his excessive warmth settled down by the coolness of my own touch. Natsu's eyes look away down to the rocky surface, the faint glint in his eyes showed hesitation and fear. He seemed really upset, and there was no way I was going to let him stay sad. I reach forward and gently grasp his chin between my soft fingertips, politely forcing him to look into my eyes. I smile, feeling its signature look come through.
