After helping Mrs Foster clean up the aftermath of the demon possessing me, which everyone refused to let me do once they learn about the baby, Sam, Dean, Jody and I decided to find somewhere to eat. Having no car I rode with Sam and Dean, with Jodie following close behind us.
Sitting in the back I pressed my head to the back of the seat, another wave of vertigo washing over me. The demon possessing me had left me feeling sick and dizzy, my whole body aching. My head was pounding I closed my eyes and kept my breaths steady.
"So, Megan... you feeling alright?" Sam asked. I opened my eyes to see him twisted around and staring at me.
"Yeah. Dizziness is just part of the package deal - I'll be alright in a minute." I said, taking another deep breath. He nodded, turning around.
"How come you don't have any anti possession charms or tattoos?" I laughed once, crossing my legs.
"Because I am a massive wimp when it comes to pain. You'd think Id have a higher tolerance for a hunter." Sam gave a breathy laugh.
"I had a necklace once but it broke. I keep forgetting to get it fixed." I said, letting my gaze wonder around the interior of the impala. The smooth leather seats where warn and shiny yet immaculate despite their condition. I put a hand on the seat next to me. The roaring purr of the engine rumbled from beneath me as we propelled forward. Unknowingly I had draped a protective hand over my stomach. Realising this I smiled a little, my heart warming.
"I don't mean this in a rude way, but how do you know the baby's Deans?" Sam asked after a while. I shrugged.
"I don't exactly sleep around." I said. Sam and Dean looked at each other then and shared a long stare before Deans gaze turned back to the road.
"Not that there's anything wrong with that - there isn't." I said quickly. "I was just feeling good. It was my birthday and I swore the day before that I was never going to get laid ever again and then you guys turn up on the same case as me, which has never happened to me before, and you're hot and then... that happened. This happened." I said, once again looking down at my stomach.
"I guess it was just fate..." when I looked up Dean was shaking his head.
"You believe in fate?" He asked, his time ruff and judging. I smiled wryly, my cheeks flushing.
"You have to believe in something." I said quietly, twiddling my thumbs together.
