Today was the day of the party. I had a good night sleep last night, and Katie and I shared a bed the first in ages. Nothing happened we just slept but it actually felt quite good.
"Luke can you help with the decorations please" I heard Katie call.
"Yeah sure give me a couple of minutes" I replied
I was texting Anna to tell her that I would come and see her In Nashville tomorrow and I would tell her face to face that we can be friends but nothing more.
Anna 🌻: hey babe, I will come see you tomorrow if you want. Text me time and place x
I sent it. She didn't reply, she must be driving so I sat my phone on the charge and went to help Katie.
The decorations were all up and I heard my phone ping a text. Shit. Katie lifted it up and sat it back down.
"Holiday inn, 2pm" was all she said
"Sorry"
"Don't sorry me, who the fuck is Anna and why are you meeting her at the holiday inn."
"Katie don't do this please it's not what you think she is a friend who has helped me through whatever this is" I said pointing between me and her
"What is that supposed to mean"
"Well we ain't exactly been getting in are we, and she listens to me" I said
"Oh is that right, well you go and do your talking because I'm done Luke." She said storming off
Why on earth did I have to save her name I could have changed it to Kurt or something like that. Fuck. Well Katie's mad as hell now, I'm going to need to steer clear of her or she will ruin the party.
