CHAPTER 7
Kristi~
Me and Luke walk a ways. Bodies are everywhere. The stench was the worst I've ever smelt. Even worse than when Heather cooks lunch or dinner. I study all of the faces to see if it is our family, but I don't recognize anybody. It is really tiring to wade through the deep water. Well, deep for me anyway. Luke offers to give me a piggyback ride, but I refuse. I am not a child, I can manage on my own. Eventually we are both so tired that we find a car and sleep on the hood of it so we don't drown. Sleep hits me immediately. After about three hours I wake up. Luke is checking the dead people for important belongings. He sees that I am awake and hands me a backpack. "Here. It shouldn't be too heavy."
"Thanks." I reply. We continue walking.
Sorry! I write really short chapters. :)
