July 3rd, 2017

I was several feet in the air, on my way to America. My first stop would be Portland and I was super exited for it. I've been wanting to travel through America for a while and now I got the chance to do so and do so with my idol.

There were not many people who could say they had the same chance.

At first Dad had been aprehensive about it but when I told him just how much it meant to me, he agreed. He would never be able to deny me anything.

I promised to skype and facetime them every night before I'd go to sleep and I made them promise not to hold anything back. If something were to happen at home, I wanted to know so I could go back. No matter how important this was to me, my family would always be the most important thing in my life.

The flight attended past by me again and asked if I wanted something. "No, thanks. I'm good."

She nodded with a kind smile. "Okay, dear."

I knew she wondered what a young girl like me was doing alone on a plane. I didn't think it'd be that weird but apparently it was because with the slightest noise I made, they came rushing to my side asking if I needed anything.

Finally, after too many hours of being in the air, the pilot anounced that we needed to put our seatbelts on because we were about to land.

This had been the first time I ever flew in a plane and it was first class. I always thought I'd fly to Spain or England but it was to America, a place I never even dreamt of actually going to. I always dreamt of it as a hope of mine but with Dad not able to enter the country, I never thought it would actually become a reality one day.

Finally we were allowed to get of the plane as we were safely on the ground. I was super excited to see what lay beyond the airport that I could see now. It was the only thing I could see.

I found myself nearly running when I'm outside the doors of the plane. I've never been so excited in my life for something but now I couldn't wait to start this summer. Normally I have a very boring vacation because we never do anything except for going to an amusement park one day of the two months and going to the sea another day. I'd sometimes meet up with friends but unlike me, they actually had a life and would go on vacations, which meant they could not meet up with me.

But this time around I was gone for the full summer. His tour ends somewhere around August 20th and I only leave his side on August 29th.
Directly after the last show, he's going back home and has invited me to come with him because aparently, Aaliyah is dying to meet me. Of course I accepted, how could I not?

Someone in a black suit and a white shirt was waiting for me like they did in those movies, you know? With the white board saying my name?

My cheeks flamed bright red, I could feel it but I went to his side anyway. I already had all of my luggage but he took it from me.

"This way, miss Jacobs." He instructed me.

I followed him and tried to keep up with him but damn, he walked fast. In fact he was walking so fast that I had to jog to keep up with him. Man, he took big steps.

He led me outside to a black SUV that appeared to be waiting for me.

Someone got out and opened a door for me while the other guy loaded my luggage in the trunk.

Andrew was waiting inside for me. "Hey, Sabrina. I hope you had a good flight."

"It was okay, scary but okay." I answered.

He looked at me with a smile. "Scary? Was this your first time?"

"Yes." I answered again.

"Well, welcome in America. Our first show is here in Portland in a couple of days, four to be exact. Tell me, are you excited?"

A huge smile settled on my face. "Definitely."

"Good. Shawn and Charlie are already settled in the hotel and right now we're waiting for you to arrive as well. Between you and me, Shawn is quite happy to see you again. I think you caught his attention in more than one way." It was as if he was telling me a secret.

I nodded slowly, not completely understanding it. I mean, I think I had an idea but that could never be what he meant so I didn't duel on that comment.

Soon enough we pulled up to a hotel. It looked amazing, all the reviews on the internet were very much deserved. The Heathman had gotten a few bad reviews but mainly good ones. We'd be staying in a suite with multiple rooms and ensuites- it'd be the most luxuruos place I'd ever spend the night at.

As we drove through various streets and passed endless shops and houses, I was practically bouncing in my seat of excitement. The city passed us by and my curiousity sparked with every house we passed.

I loved it.

Andrew looked at me with a fond smile. "You'll have plenty of time to enjoy the city but I also want you to rest. Your parents informed me that your exams took a toll on you because you wanted to do so well. How were they anyway?"

I sighed. "They weren't bad but they could've been better. I didn't fail maths but it's not like I passed with flying colors. My physics wasn't great either but then there was also chemistry and that pulled that up. All in all, I'm good."

Andrew nodded. "So you don't have to double your year as you feared?"

"No, I'm safe." I chuckled.

The car came to a stop. "We're here."
