Glares were transferred and eyes were locked on target. Three people sat on a couch, two of them on rough ground. One of them sat in-between the meddling two, bored out of his mind. The person to his left was a schoolgirl. The person to his right was a short blonde man. And the man stuck in this was the tall brunette with a dull stare. Shouts, yells, growls, and barks were interchangeable between the battling duo. They often attempted to kill the other and attacked him or her over the tall man’s head. It has come to a point where they would accidentally hit the man who they were fighting over. Why me? the brunette thought. Shouts became as loud as a lion’s roar and the intensity of the situation heightened and exploded into a raging war. At this moment, the uninterested man had enough and shot up from his seat. “Yah! Stop!” he bellowed. Immediately, the brawl stopped. They dropped their rivalry and stared at the standing man with a dazed face. “I’ll buy the food by myself. I think I know the basic language to go buy fast food.” he protested. “But-what if you don’t understand something the cashier says? I’m coming with you.” the fairly young girl stated. “I don’t care I’m coming with you too.” the other man said. And soon, the trio was on the way to…somewhere that had food. Hyun Seok clearly translated the signs and Byunghun resided next to ChanHee. Like the night, the daytime sidewalks are full. Space was taken up. There was nowhere to move so scuttling may seem like the only option. The sidewalks overflowing with people that some of them had to walk on the road. Packed like sardines, they inched their way closer to the restaurant they were aiming for. Almost there, LJoe thought, squished against random strangers and his lover. The shop looked so beautiful each step. Pulling through, they made it to the entrance. “Oh wait-this is a mattress store. Sorry guys!” the schoolgirl awkwardly laughed. LJoe gave her the are-you-serious look and mixed in with the crowd. Chunji and Hyun Seok tailgated him and searched for an actual restaurant. Again, they came to the joint and proceeded inside. An extravagant sushi bar and BBQ grill was inside. They were ushered to their seats and skimmed through the menus. Thankfully enough, the menu had English below each dish and entree. They took their orders, returned the menus, blah blah blah. Discomfort haunted the three, most definitely Hyun Seok and LJoe. And then, out of nowhere, LJoe lit the fire again.
“So, Hyun Seok, where did you come from?” he asked in a fierce tone.
“I came from Seoul. That’s where I was born and I’ve lived there ever since.” she replied, light heartened.
“When did you meet Chunji?”
“Exactly one year, three months, and 5 days ago.” she smiled.
She’s crazy. How could I top this girl in my relationship? LJoe thought. He leaned in his seat.
“What does he like? Chocolates? Candy? Rabbits?” he whispered. Chunji looked around totally oblivious to what’s going on.
“He likes all sorts of things. He likes these American movies called High School Musical, Lee Hongki, romance movies, reading, the beach…”
“Okay, okay. Now here’s the real question...” he peeked at ChanHee then said, ”...is he good in bed?”
Hyun Seok pushed her chair back and slapped his cheek.
“Are you a pervert? Ew! Get away! Why would his boss ask something like that?” she screamed.
Patrons at the restaurant took sight of this and didn’t understand what was going on. They whispered some things, stood up from their seats, and whispered some more. None of them knew what she said because of the language barriers, but they didn’t care. ChanHee calmed his ex down and sat in his seat. People’s eyes were looking at them and only them. Chunji noticed their stares and whispers and he, embarrassed, hid his face behind his arm. Placid, LJoe spread his arms out on the top of his chair. His cheek was blood red, but he couldn’t care less. Hyun Seok’s face was flushed a dark pink. She sat quietly with her head down. Pervert… she thought.
“You know why I wanted to know that?” Byunghun hummed.
“Know what?” ChanHee chimed in.
“You don’t need to know, yeobo.”
“Yeobo? What?” Hyun Seok joined the chat.
“Yeah, I just called him yeobo. You got a problem with that?” Byunghun seethed.
“Never mind. Now what were you going to say?”
“I wanted to know that because…” LJoe trailed off. He turned to ChanHee and wrapped his hand under his lover’s chin. He then pulled him in for a surprise kiss, closing his eyes. Nearly dying, Hyun Seok fainted in her chair and fell to the ground with a thud. ChanHee pushed LJoe away and glimpsed around him. Attention was focused on them. It was like a drama in real life, first the fight, then questions, and now a kiss with a girl fainting. What a sight the citizens must’ve seen. What a sight they have seen. Hyun Seok, on the ground and unconscious, caused ruckus and commotion in the small restaurant. A waitress came to their table with drinks and food and almost tripped on the paralyzed girl in front of her. She covered her mouth, laid the serving tray on the table, and went straight to the telephone. Urgently, she dialed the police and spoke to them about what just happened recently. Byunghun remained in his chair, drowned in his achievement. Tranquil, as you will. He was the only one in the place who didn’t react to the schoolgirl’s activity, no. He was proud of his doing. And so, this event did not matter to him as much as his performance. Quite the show he’d take it. Others…not so much. Briefly, an ambulance and a couple of police cars lined the street outside and carried the girl on a gurney. In the process of taking her away, Chunji wanted to follow her to the hospital. Byunghun grabbed his wrist and said; “We’ll see her when she’s awake. It’ll be boring to stay for hours at the hospital for her to wake up.” Chunji hesitated and gave in. The girl was transported into the ambulance truck and taken away.

“What did you ask her earlier? Tell me.” ChanHee beseeched.
“I asked her if you liked to watch High School Musical.”
“Wah~ I love those movies. She probably told you, I wouldn’t expect anyone to ask if I like High School Musical. What did you really ask?”
“I asked if you were good dancer.”
“You would be called a pervert for asking if I’m a good dancer.”
“I can’t tell my rabbit…”
“I’ll give you anything you want!”
“Anything? All right. I asked her if you were good in bed.”
“What!?”
“You’ll do anything I want. Ha. Ha. Ha.”
