YOONRA
"Oh my--" Bomi's eyes widen and cupped her mouth shockingly.
"Hahha..." I chuckled while looking at her reaction, "nice, right?"
"This is not nice, this is soooooooo much better than the ones in Japan," she said, never forget to shove some more kimchi to her mouth.
I glanced the fermented dish, all the memories were back. I was used to make kimchi with my mother back then and we had lots of fun with it. I have nostalgia.
The Korean restaurants in Japan has good kimchis but they don't taste as good as those in Korea. It's hard to explain but, they just don't feel original.
I took a bite as well. Crunchy and tasty, that was all I could say.
"This is....This is the best kimchi I've tasted in my entire life," Bomi said unclearly since she was storing so much kimxhi in her cheeks and making it looked puffy.
"You look like....Alvin and the Chipmunks right now," I held my laugh, "maybe I should snap a photo of you to your husband, perhaps?"
After I ended my sentence, immediately she gulped the kimchi in one shot. She grabbed the napkin and wiped off the reddish sauce left over the corner of her lips.
"NO! Of course, no. Don't you dare to take picture to Tae," Bomi said while placing her hand on her chest, probably swallowing too fast had made her felt uncomfortable.
"Why not?" I went on teasing her, "it's so cute..."
"Damn...the sarcastic Yoonra is back," she sighed.
"I won't send it to Taehyung, don't worry. How can you be that silly and swallowed the kimchi in one shot? See, now you're feeling nausea..."
"You nag like my grandmother," she giggled for awhile and held back the laughter, "um....Taehyung's grandmother, I mean."
"....." I turned silenced and as well as her. We both knew Taehyung's grandmother died a few days after their marriage. It was pretty sad for both Taehyung and Bomi as well. And Bomi had a hard time comforting the crying Taehyung eventhough she was sad as well.
Just when I was about to talk, someone hammered the wall of silence. "Oh? Yoonra? You're back?"
I turned and faced her. Looking at her made me thought of Jungkook more, about what he did to me, last time.
"Yeah. I'm back in Korea," I smiled.
"It's good to hear you're here. I was missing you all the time till I couldn't sleep properly!" She exaggerated , "may I sit here?"
"Yeah sure," I replied. She pull out the chair and sat beside me.
"Oh? You are...?" Eunji asked while throwing me the blank expression.
Our gazes then landed on Bomi in sync, who was still eating the kimchi non stop. I chuckled awkwardly and blurted, "whaaat? Are you still eating?"
Didn't she at least be curious of who Eunji was? Like a random person just came over and.....she's still eating.
"Nah, because you guys are talking and it's impolite to interrupt. That's why I eat rather than talk," she said, finally putting down the chopsticks.
I glared at her and the plate again. She almost finished the whole kimchi as if her stomach could stretch and fill up everything. My jaw almost dropped after seeing it.
"Um....so self-introduce, shall we?" Bomi said while tucking strands of hair behind her ears.
"Okay. My name is Park Eunji and I'm same age as Yoonra. I currently work as a psychologist. You don't look like Korean so are you..?" Eunji trailed off.
"Oh, I'm from Japan and my name is Yoon Bomi. Just call me Bomi. Nice to meet you," Bomi forced out a smile, her eyes wasn't acting natural when she was smiling.
Bomi definitely hates her.
"Oh so, Bomi is my bestfriend in Japan. And, Eunji is my bestfriend in Korea. So...two bestfriends," I laughed sheepishly.
Bomi didn't care to talk to Eunji so she stayed quiet and continued to eat kimchi. Eunji, however, busying finding something in her pouch.
Not long after that, she took out a pretty card. I looked closer and realised it was a marriage invitation card.
"Oh...?" I heaved out a hum.
"Ah, I'm going to marry soon," her words startled me and I flinched, "I plan to invite you to the wedding ceremony."
"Really? You're going to marry someone? Who's the bridegroom?" I asked as my eyes widen.
She eyed on the invitation card, signalling me to find it out by myself. Of course I won't delay any time to take a look of that card. I got the card on my hand, ready to open it...
Wait, don't tell me....
The bolded words caught my freaking attention. I couldn't help but to stare at it, with unusual feelings and indescribable sensation filled over my body.
Jeon Jungkook
(bridegroom)
and
Park Eunji
(bride)
I almost crumpled the card but luckily the eating Bomi kicked my foot under the table, bringing back my senses. Bomi acted like nothing happen and still focusing on eating. I pretty sure she realised the expression written on my face.
"Yoonra? Are you feeling okay? Are you sick?" Eunji questioned, furrowing her eyebrows.
"Uhm-- I'm okay," I said, stuttering. Do I really feel okay with this?
I don't really know about myself actually. But this time, I got to know more about myself that I still like him. No, love, to be exact.
"You really must come yeah!" She winked then glanced at Bomi, "oh, and, she can come as well since she's your bestfriend."
I nodded, which was the only thing I could do at the moment. I couldn't speak anymore, probably spit out some words but never in a correct sentence. This was hurting too much, I was totally broken.
Broken, not hurt.
Bomi seemed a bit frustrated with Eunji's presence, so she rolled her eyes secretly but I could spot her. Bomi opened her mouth and began to break the silence.
"Oh? So are you alone here?"
"Nope, I'm not, he is going to arrive soon I suppose?" Eunji said while looking around to find the person she mentioned.
" 'He'? " Bomi questioned the unknown person that she was talking about.
"Jeon Jungkook, he is going to come soon," she smiled sweetly, showing her delighted face.
"What?" Automatically I rose my head, said softly with no face expression.
"Jeon Jungkook, you still remember him, right?"
Ouch.
