Chapter 19: Aric sees Hiccup

Ingrid

As we landed, I was in total shock of seeing these poor dragons in pain, mostly from being tortured by the soldiers.

I was irate as Snoutlout grabs me before I run towards them to help them escape.

"Ingrid! I know that seeing these dragons is hard to see, but we first need to find Astrid and Toothless and we must form a plan." Heather said.

I pulled Snoutlout and tossed him across the land and Sly and Skullcrusher laughed.

"Oh, stop laughing." He mutters.

"Well, we still have to find Astrid, if she is here." I said, looking at the base.

Oh, Astrid, where are you?

Aric 

Islas and I went to the Tent, and I had to admit, I was actually pretty nervous of who was the person behind the Dragon's terrible abuse and why does involved with Hiccup.

Islas sees of how nervous I was, and held my hand in comfort. "Don't act so scared, Aric. I am right here if you need me."

I nodded at him silently, although it was kind of hard to tell him that my name isn't Aric.

"Let's get this over with, shall we?" I asked.  I see the Night Fury who was still cautious for any action.

As we enter, I see a man sat in a dragon -skull chair.

"Ah, the new recruits, I assume." He said.

In the corner of my eye, I spied an familiar face.

It was Hiccup! He looked horrible of what I've imagined. He looked like he hasn't eaten and he was already looked exhausted.

"Oh, admire our Prisoner, Hayden Haddock?" He said, as he punches him to the stomach and Hiccup slowly moans.

I flex my wrists as I watched. He has the nerve to attack him like that.

Islas said, "Aric and I were wondering why you summon us, Sir."

"Dragon Riders had been spotted here in our base. I want you two to find them."

Oh, no... the others had arrived, that is worse than I thought of trying to maintain my identity.

I immediately jumped on Toothless and Islas said, "Aric, wait! What you doing?!?"

I ignored his question as I try to find the others before it's too late.

Snoutlout

As the Soldiers spotted us, we ran as fast we can so we can find shelter.

Tames said, "Run faster!"

Fishlegs said, "We are trying to run as fast we possibly can, Tames!"

As I panted with sweat, something instantly grabbed my shoulder!

"Snoutlout!" Ingrid yells, terrified as the mysterious dragon took me to a deeper part of the island.

I looked closer at the dragon, I had a flashback of a time when Viggo was under control of Berk.

I sneaked out one night to tried to get some fresh air.

Then this red Nightmare approaches me as if I was a threat to him.

I said, "You tried to escape the horrors of this too, I suppose?"

The Nightmare nods at me, agreeing.

"Well, it's not going to be easy. Viggo has eyes everywhere." I explained to the dragon then I spotted a tunnel.

"Here, use that tunnel to escape Berk. That way you'll be safe from harm, I promise." I said, pointing to the tunnel.

The Nightmare smiled, but I never saw him again.

I looked up, "It's you."

The Red Nightmare smiles at me as he flips me up into his back.

"I think you need a name. I really can't call you "Nightmare" all the time." I said.

I think about it for a while then it hit me. "I think I should name you, "Hookfang."

Hookfang burns up in flames, ready to fight.

"Hookfang, take it easy, bud. I know that you wanted to fight right now, but we need to find Astrid and Toothless first." I said to the Nightmare.

Hookfang dismissed his flames as he knew it was the right thing to do.

As I pet him, I saw Toothless!

"Toothless?!? Where's Astrid?" I asked.

The Rider opens his mask and I was stunned.

"A-Astrid?!?" I said, stunned of her.

She said, "Snoutlout! Wait, who you riding on?"

I said, "Explain later. Astrid, what about you? And why you wearing an armor?"

"Like you said, Explain later. For now I need you to hit me and Toothless."

Hookfang and I exchange looks, but she said, "Trust me. Meet me tonight with Ingrid and I'll fill in everything, I promise."

I groan, "Then brace yourselves."

Astrid said to Toothless, "Sorry, bud. This has to look real."

Hookfang blasts Toothless as he and Astrid fell to the ground below.
