Hiccup
I was kind of surprise that Heather, the daughter of Oswald the Agreeable wanted to meet Toothless! What the odds of that?
As we grew closer to the black Night Fury, Heather seems to be amazed that I trained dragons for a living.
She said, "So, Hayden, isn't it? What you doing living in Dragon Paradise instead living with your dad, Stoick?"
The name of my used to be father rage in anger inside of me, and I knew that I couldn't control it.
"You really don't have any idea what I've been through!" I snapped at her. The Beskerian was scared a bit as I realize what I've done.
I took a deep breath to calm myself down.
"Sorry, Heather. Stoick and I don't have a good father-son relationship. His trust broken our relationship mostly because I was different." I said as we continue our way to Toothless.
I saw my best friend, eating a cod. I shook my head and then I use my Night Fury call.
He heard it and responds and sees me with Heather.
"Toothless!" I said, as the dragon tackles me into a hug.
Heather looks amazed with our bond.
"Don't worry, Heather. Toothless wouldn't hurt me. We been friends for a year." I reassure the young Beskerian.
The Night Fury looks at Heather curiously.
"Heather, this is my dragon and my best friend, Toothless.
Toothless, this is Heather, a new Rider we're helping with."
He walks up to her and gave her a friendly smile.
Astrid
As I grew worried about Hiccup, Ingrid said, "You're worried, aren't you? About Hiccup, I mean?"
I looked at Ingrid with a surprise look. How does she knew that I really can't let anyone know I had loved her best friend over the year since his banishment from Berk?
"Astrid, I assure that Hiccup would be fine of whatever mission my dad put him into. When my dad gives him a mission or task, there is no refusal."
"Ingrid, in Dragon Paradise, who is the next Chief in line?" I asked the young Viking curiously.
Ingrid suddenly laughs at the question, but then her expression changes as if the question was too embarrassing to talk about.
"If you don't want to talk about it, it's fine." I said, realizing it was too painful for her to bear, but she said, "No, it's all right, Astrid. I think it's great to talk about it other than Hiccup."
I looked at the girl, again with curiosity of what she will reveal to me.
She sighs, "The truth is... I'm going to be the next Chief. Dad wanted me prepared ever since I was a little girl."
I whistled with awe.
"Wow, Ingrid, that's great! I'm sure that you would be a great Chief, just like Tames."
"You really think that I got what it takes to be a Chief? It seems hard." She said, nervously.
"Does that ever stop Hiccup if he was here?" I pointed out.
She smiled, "No, it didn't stop him. I guess that you're right. It's great that Hiccup has a friend like you, Astrid."
"I don't know about that. Ever since he remembers growing up here in Berk, Fishlegs, the twins, Snoutlout and I always ignored him and make fun of him. But now, I felt guilty of teasing him and I realize now that I love him." I explained to her.
"Astrid, come on, don't doubt yourself of what you did in the past. It's time for you face the future." She advised me.
I said, "You know what? I think you're right!"
I run to Stormfly as Ingrid said, "Wait, Astrid, where you going?"
I replied to her, "I'm going to find Hiccup and Toothless alone. Let's go, Stormfly!"
We flew out of Berk in search for the sixteen year old Dragon Rider and his Night Fury.
