Carlisle's Point of View
-
I spun around and bashed the butt of the gun on his skull.
I felt the impact vibrate up my arm, all the way up to my brain.
He fell to the ground, blood flowing from the gash in his hairline.
Now, I had to deal with the other two men who had the intentions to kill me.
My fist was slammed into his chest, sending him stumbling backwards. As he faltered, the other man's first connected with my lip. I could taste the tincture of blood in my mouth. Before I could recover, another fist was plummeted into my stomach.
I spit blood as I tried my best not to double over.
They laughed sadistically. It only fueled my rage.
While I was in combat, my pistol was sent flying to my side. I made a dash to grab it before they noticed what I was trying to do.
Just before one of them grabbed me by the collar, I had the weapon in my hand.
I ducked as he made a swing for my head and then cocked the pistol, firing a bullet into his chest. Then another into his shoulder. Finally, one into his head.
One remained.
"Carlisle, kill me. But you'll get out of here only to find yourself in the same situation. Over and over again. They will always come for you."
"I'm only protecting the people I love. You're just collateral damage."
With that, I fired a single bullet into his forehead. Blood went splattering behind him as he fell to the ground with the gravel rattling beneath him.
They attacked me as I was getting into my car. I looked around and saw the carnage I had caused.
I wanted to be better for Stella. I didn't want to do this anymore. But, I couldn't back out now, I was in too deep.
As I got in my car, I took a deep breath before I started towards the estate.
-
She took one look at me before throwing her hands up in the air.
"For fuck's sake!" She exclaimed.
"Stella, I'm okay."
I shed my suit jacket on the sofa in the bedroom, along with my shirt.
I made my way to the en suite bathroom and washed the blood off my face.
"You're going to get killed."
"Stella, we've been over this a million times. I'm not going anywhere, I'm not going to let someone take me away from you."
I planted a kiss on her forehead and pulled her into an embrace.
"I think at some point you won't be the one to make that decision."
"I need you to trust me. I've been at this since I was a kid, the only thing I've ever been taught is how to kill. You do realize that my family, my father, my brothers and I, are some of the most dangerous people in the world."

Stella's Point of View
A family dinner at Carlisle's home was unnerving.
They had family friends over as well and the house was full of people. Probably almost eighty people in the large mansion.
I hung on Carlisle's arm in a red dress, quietly sipping my champagne.
One thing that did make me smile was when Carlisle introduced me, he would call me "his love."
It wasn't hard to see the seductive glances that were thrown Carlisle's way. It was blatantly obvious.
I didn't mind though, I felt confident in Carlisle ad his feelings for me.
Carlisle's mother was the sweetest thing in the whole world. I had no idea how she was a mafia mother, she was so kind.
Lana never came around. She ignored me and when we crossed paths, she would simply walk past with a scoff.
Carlisle was talking with some friends when I left him to get some air.
On the way out, I was pulled into a dark room suddenly.
I yelled out and the light was then flicked on. I saw a man who I did not know, but the small pantry reeked of alcohol from his pores.
I tried to reach for the door handle quickly but I was abruptly pulled away and slammed into the pantry. Several cans and containers were knocked over onto me, their weight hurting me even more.
"God, you're such a bitch."
He reached for the neckline of my dress, grabbing the fabric and using it to life me back up.
I landed a punch in his nose, hearing a crack come from the impact.
Blood was running down his lip, dripping down his chin.
"This is for Stefano and the Rossi family. Tell your boyfriend that this was for revenge."
He grinned evilly as he went to tear my dress open.
I reached behind me and grabbed a can. I then rammed it into his jawline, he stumbled back for a couple seconds, recovering.
"Fuck, now I'm going to kill you," he spat.
He then reached into his back pocket. "Sorry love, they told me to make it hurt."
He unsheathed the knife and held it to my cheek.
"Should I cut your eyes out first?" He asked while cackling. "Or should I skin you alive?"
"Fuck. Help!" I began screaming.
His shaky hands then began slicing the skin on my neck, making a diagonal cut.
I screamed out in pain and felt the blood trickling down my neck.
They probably couldn't hear my screams over the music and chatter. Fuck.
I then stomped on his foot and he doubled over. I took the knife swiftly from his hand and then plummeted it into his shoulder.
He cried out and fell to his knees, trying to rip the blade out of his shoulder as I opened the door and began running.
I was losing a lot of blood. Blood saturated the whole top of my dress and was seeping down my arms, dripping on the floor. I left a trail of blood when I walked.
I began running for where I knew Carlisle would be, in the large living room where everyone else was.
I could hear my attacker's footsteps behind me, trying to catch up to me. My balance was becoming harder to maintain as my blood loss was making me dizzy.
"I'm going to fucking kill you!" He yelled after me.
"Carlisle!" I yelled as I ran through the door into the living room.
The whole party turned to me and gasped. The live quartet immediately halted and Carlisle began running towards me.
He reached for his gun, as did most of the men attending the party until my attacker ran into the room.
A couple of Carlisle's men grabbed him forcefully and dragged him off somewhere, probably to torture him.
"Stella!" Carlisle yelled as he finally got to me.
"My neck . . ." I chocked out, getting dizzier.
"Fuck! A doctor!" Carlisle began yelling as the party was all watching me in horror.
As two men, presumably doctors ran to me, I looked up at Carlisle, dizzy and drowsy.
"I love you."
My eyes began to close and everything went black.
