I hear your heart beat to the beat of the drums
Oh! What a shame that you came here with someone
So while you're here in my arms
Let's make the most of the night
Like we gonna die young
We're gonna die young

"Raffy, drag your ass out here, fast! We are just 2 minutes away from the party venue, yet we will be the last to arrive because you couldn't finish your makeup on time." I screamed loudly, irritated. "God! You take more time dressing up than a teenage girl on her prom night!"
I was exasperated waiting for the moron for the past forty five minutes. God knows what he was doing inside. People say that women take more time than men to dress up for a given occasion. Whoever had propagated this myth had clearly not met Raphael who took more time than any other female in this world.
"Here I am, babe" he grinned.
I turned around to see him smiling his flirtatious grin which could melt any girl's heart but not mine, not when I was pissed off.
"How much time do you require to get ready?" I hissed.
"Aww. Bi don't get angry, so what if I took a little extra time who would mind when the end result is amazing like this", he said pointing towards himself. "And besides, its just ten."
I just gave him a pointed look. "Whatever. Lets go now."
"Wait. I forgot something."
"Now what?"
I waited restlessly as Raphael went inside to get something he had forgotten. Sometimes, I swear he does all this, just to get me all riled up. When he returned with two gifts in his hand, I looked up at him, confused. In his right hand was a small rectangular emerald green box.
"This, my darling fiance is for you." I quickly took the box from his hand to find a beautiful diamond pendant encased in it. The pendant was tear-drop shaped with a blue sapphire in the center and was surrounded by tiny diam embedded in platinum. Needless to say, it was gorgeous. I absolutely loved it.
"Wow! Its really amazing, thanks. You never fail to surprise me. Can you please help me put it?"
"Of course."
He kept the other gift on the nearby dinner table and swiftly clasped the necklace around my neck.
Meanwhile, I eyed the other gift suspiciously.
"For whom did you get that?"
"Oh that. I got it for Devon. You might have forgotten but I do remember my manners, which say that you must gift your business colleagues when you visit them for the first time, especially when your going for a party. Also, he is our neighbour. In fact, am surprised that you forgot. Most of the times, its you who keeps on lecturing me about manners and etiquettes but today, it didn't even cross your mind. Am surprised."
Although his tone was teasing, I actually felt guilty. The thought of buying Devon something never crossed my mind. I just snubbed my guilt.
"So what did you get for him?"
