So this is it, the last chapter, next week or this weekend there will be and epilogue but officially this is the last of this. I can't believe I'm done with this, I've worked so hard on this, spent so much time on it and now we are here, almost four months of my life went with this fic and wow this is the longest thing I've ever written, I hope you guys got to enjoy this as much as I did and that you enjoy this,of course. I don't know if this is a good enough last chapter but I really hope it is. Thank you all for everything.
Luna sighs as she sits next to her, sadness lingering on it and making Nina look up to her instantly.
"What happened?" She asks to her friend and Luna looks down, biting her lip.
"I'm leaving." She says and adds nothing more, making Nina frown.
"Leaving?" She asks confused and Luna sends her a meaningful look.
"Leaving, leaving Nina." Luna mumbles and her voice breaks in Nina's name.
Nina looks around, the teacher is nowhere to be seen yet.
"Where?" She asks and Luna shakes her head.
"I don't know yet." Luna shrugs. "My parents haven't told me yet, they just told me to pack up my bags and have everything ready for when they send me the plane ticket."
"How long until that?" She asks in a soft voice, willing the knot on her throat away.
"A week, a week and half." Luna says looking down again and Nina just stays feeling frozen in her place. Luna is the only person who she has ever called a best friend besides Simón, she is really one of her favorite people in the world and she can't believe that she will go away, that she will lose her. And so soon, without a warning. She knew this could happen, Luna had told her many times how she never stays too long in one place yet she never really thought of the day when she would leave.
"Does Matteo know?" She asks not knowing what else to say and Luna nods.
"He was the first person I told." She whispers and Nina just wants to give her a hug but she is afraid that she will break into tears if she does and the school is the last place she wants to be seen crying into.
"Have you told anyone else?" Luna shakes her head.
"I was going to tell Simón this afternoon." Luna says. "But, I don't know, I don't think I'm ready."
"I can help you." Nina says, holding one of Luna's hands on her and squeezing softly.
"Thank you." Luna mumbles and gives her a quick hug right as the teacher enters the classroom, looking frazzled and apologizing for being late. Nina sighs and opens her book but she already knows she won't be able to pay attention to the class. Luna sends her a small smile and no matter how hard she is trying it's obvious it doesn't reach her eyes.
As soon as they are out of classroom they find Matteo and Gastón waiting for them. Matteo instantly goes to Luna, putting an arm around her shoulders and despite the fact that when she laid eyes on him first he looked almost miserable he smiles brightly at her and Luna smiles back, both of their eyes shining so much it's almost unbelievable. She doesn't know what being apart will do to these two but she can't imagine it will be anything good.
"Are you okay?" Gastón whispers to her next to her ear and Nina knows instantly that Matteo told him already.
"I don't know." She mumbles watching as Luna and Matteo walk in front of them. "I don't think so."
"You still have a little more time with her." Gastón says entangling their fingers.
"Did you say the same thing to Matteo?" Nina asks and Gastón nods. "Did it work with him?"
