First Person Point of View

“Are you sure you’re okay?” Noctis asked the jeweler as we delivered his latest requirements of stones.

“Yeah, I’m fine.” Dino shook his head, trying to reassure us. “Don’t worry about it.”

Under his eyes were dark, and his eyes were a little red. His breathing was heavy, and he seemed to  be dozing off, distracted by something. I thought it was because of his business, and how he gets little to no sleep. I crossed my arms, examining the man with a heavy accent.

“If you say so.” Prompto said, uneasy about leaving the man in this state.

“It's getting late,” Dino mentioned, “Youseguys should go before the daemons come out.”

“I'm sure we can handle ourselves.” Gladiolus smirked, crossing his arms and looking out at the ocean, as the sun began to set.

Dino stood up from where he was sitting, beginning to head out. “Well, I’m going to head to my room in the Quay.”

“Hm,” Ignis murmured, “Good night to you, then. Make sure you’re getting enough sleep.” Ignis is basically ‘Momma Bird.’

Dino gave a small wave, walking into the the motel side of Galdin Quay. I looked back to the guys, giving a questioning look.

“He says he’s fine, (Y/N).” Noctis sighed with a little smile, trying to assure me like a brother should. Yes, we’re related. Twins, in fact. “Maybe he just had a long day.”

“Why are you so worried anyway?” Prompto asked.

Gladio huffed a chuckle. Ignis answered with, “It’s because she fancies the man.”

“I do not fancy him.” I retorted, crossing my arms. “I care about everyone under Noctis’ kingdom.”

He sighed, “It’s your kingdom, too, (Y/N).”

“Yeah, yeah.” I waved my hand.

“I think I'm gonna fish in the meantime.” He laughed, heading over to the exit. Instinctively, the rest of the guys followed. “You coming?” He questioned me.

I shook my head, looking out at the darkening sea. “Nah, I think I'm gonna stick around a while. I’ll catch up with you guys later.”

He nodded. “You know where to find us.”

With their leave, I waited out by the docks, waiting until nightfall. I could see across the sea to where the guys were in case I needed to head over to them.

It was ten at night, and Galdin Quay was closing for the night. The motel section was open to the weary traveller, which I was walking past to find my friends. Almost out the door, the sound of breaking glass was heard throughout the room Dino was staying in. I thought he’d be okay until he began pounding on the door, the lights clearly off.

I was about to head to the door, until it flew open and he began running out. Upon seeing me, he stopped in his tracks. He wasn't the same Dino I knew before; there was something off about him. His eyes were turning bloodshot, and his breathing was extremely heavy.

“Dino, are you oka--”

Before I could even take another breath, he was gone, running out the Quay and to the waters. I ran after him, not able to keep up with his speed. By the time he was heading under the docks, I had barely reached the entrance. I leaped off the side, tracking down Dino. He panicked when I landed in front of him, giving up.

“What's going on?” I questioned, my tone growing firm.

He threw himself on the ground, sitting by the shore, shaded from the moonlight. I sat next to the jeweler, and he turned away.

“Silence isn't answering my question.”

Dino sighed, reaching over to my hand. I took a deep breath as I tensed from the sudden contact. “It’s the only way I can answer. Sorry, but I don't want to scare you away.”

I didn't know what he was doing, but I could feel his thumb covering my pulse. He tried to exhale a swift breath, which turned out to be shaky.

“I'm your friend and go-to hunter, am I not?” I smiled although he wasn't looking at me. “I'm not that easy to chase off.”

In seconds, you were pinned down, and Dino’s eyes were completely red. The light colored eyes he used to have were gone, and his strength over powered mine. I struggled underneath his grip, trying to break free.

Third Person Point of View

“You've always been quite the beautiful lady, (Y/N).” He purred, revealing a whole new side to him. You didn't know what to do, and instead, you froze.

“What are you doing?” You really weren't one to be scared, but you were terrified at the moment. You were even shaking, and Dino took notice.

He began to calmly shush you, brushing the side of your face with the back of his hand. “It’s okay. Calm down.”

You tensed to the max at the contact, afraid of what was going to happen. His hand pushed your head to the side, making it easier for him to reach your neck. He took a small breath, sending chills down your spine. He licked the spot where he was comfortable taking what he wanted, occasionally adding a slight kiss to his slow movements. You couldn't move or make a sound. You swore he had put you under some sort of trance, and was beginning to panic. You couldn't even muster his name.

He grinned to himself, showing off his pearly fangs. It wasn't long until the fangs were buried inside the flesh of your neck, making you spill out blood. Dino pulled you close, sucking every drop of blood dripping from your neck. His breaths grew heavier and heavier by the second, for this was the first time had ever had blood. He hated the vampire life, but sometimes he couldn't control it. Especially whenever he had extreme bloodlust. The pain shot throughout your neck, and you were trying to push him away. You cried out when his teeth dug in deeper due to your attempts to escape his hold. He retracted the fangs from your new wounds, taking deep breaths as he climbed off of you. His lips were covered in blood, and you covered your neck with your hand. Tying all the pieces together, you got up to run, but your legs had turned to jelly under your weight, and you were light headed. Dino really had taken almost every last drop of blood in your body. He caught you before you fell, his eyes turning to their usual color.

“I didn't mean to hurt you.” He apologized, holding you close again. He wiped the blood away, and kept his eyes on yours. “(Y/N)... You can't tell anyone about what just happened. The hunters will hear about it and kill me. Taking my life ain't a big deal to me and all, but I won't be able to see you everyday if I'm dead.”

“Why couldn't you have just asked me out like a normal person rather than drinking my blood?” You tried to make light of the situation, even if you felt sick to your stomach.

He chuckled at your attempt. “I'm not a normal person. I'm one a does blood suckers.”

“Just kiss me instead.” You said in a tired, yet smug tone.

He smirked at the offer, and gave you a swift kiss on the lips. He couldn't take only one, so he kissed you a few more times before he was satisfied.

The guys eventually found you two, but you luckily hid the whole “my boyfriend is a vampire” thing from them. They teased you about how you two were found for a while, causing Dino to take every opportunity he had to embarrass you in front of them.

He smiled. “I love you, my gem.”

“I love you too, you blood sucker.” You smiled back.
