Chapter Twenty-Seven

Isabella

Lucca has been driving for the past fifteen minutes to what I'm assuming is an airport. Any trip that he would take would require an air travel. He hasn't hinted to where we might be going so I stopped asking around the fourth attempt. I even tried seduce him, but he just laughed at my failed attempt.

A few minutes later, Lucca pulls up to a gate that blocks us from entering a private air strip. He doesn't bother rolling down his window to greet the security guard that approaches the car. The guard nods at us before signalling another guard to open the gate. Lucca parks the car a few yards away from one of the many private jets that I can see. I'm going to assume that this one is Lucca's because it has L. Moretti  on the side of it. I've never been on a jet before. I have never been on any type of machine that has been in the air.

"Are you going to get out of the car or you're just going to keep staring at?" My head whips to my now opened door. Lucca is standing there smiling at me in amusement.

I blush under his gaze and nod sheepishly. I take his warm hand in mine and let him pull me out of the car. He leads me to the jet and gives me the grand tour. I could have never imagined me traveling in one of these. It has a full blown bedroom in the back of it. It has a twelve passenger cabin with champagne and grey color interior.

"This is amazing." I say breathlessly. Lucca smiles brightly at me. It's probably the biggest smile I've ever seen on his face. "What's got you so happy?"

"You're happy."

Once again, I blush and swat his hands away from me. He laughs and continues his tickling assault on me. I fall down on the couch behind me and groan a little from the discomfort.

"Are you okay?" He ask hastily giving me a once over.

"I'm fine. It's just my back. It'll subside."

He nods, but doesn't say anything else. I hear footsteps coming from outside and I turn my attention to the door. I'm greeted with a familiar cheeky grin.

"You guys weren't going to leave us, right?" I laugh at Maceo and push myself off of the couch. I engulf him into a hug.

"I didn't know you were coming..." I trail off. I see the other twin stepping out of a SUV along with Santino, Aiden, and Gabi.

I gasp once I see Carson's auburn hair sticking out of the car. I leap down the stairs of the jet and run to my little brother with my arms open wide.

His eyes widen once he see's me. "Izzy!"

I pull him into a hug. He squeezes me back causing me to experience some form of pain, but I ignore it. I bury my nose into his hair, breathing in his familiar sent.

Everything that I went through in these past twenty-four hours made me realize that I could've truly died. It's a possibility that I would have never seen him again.

"Why are you crying Izzy? Are you on your period? I just saw you the other day." Carson mumbles. I pull out of the hug instantly and wipe my face of tears. I didn't realize that I started crying.

"I just missed you. That's all."

He nods uncertainly as he finally gets a full view of of me. His eyes widen slightly, but Lucca pops his head out of the plane telling us that the captain is ready to go.

"What happened to you?" Carson whispers to me as we walk behind the rest of the Moretti clan, plus Aiden.

I shake my head woefully. "I'll tell you once we're situated."
