Nobody knew we were dating. It's not like you can just announce you and another guy were dating, especially if you're two of the most popular kids in school. To be honest, I was scared someone would find out, but Aaron wasn't. When we secretly broke up because I chose my mom over him, she just got another dose of chemo, and I couldn't handle the pressure of it all. I dropped off the football team. I became the nobody kid. People didn't care I was gone. Some other person became the new perfect person. Amazing how life can change like that.

When I first saw the new kid, I gaped from over in the corner. I stared at him the whole period, repeatedly brushing the black hair out of my eyes to see. Hilariously, I saw Aaron gaping too! Instantly I thought maybe my thoughts will go away with a new hobby...

He had beautiful lightning blue eyes, and dark hair. The mirror on the wall probably couldn't say anything. He was more than the fairest of them all. Surprisingly, nobody else but Aaron  and I thought he was cute. I came home, flopped down on the couch and sighed. I looked over a the clock. 4:05 p.m. I turned on the TV only to find nothing but news.
