Chapter 2

SMASH!!!!!!!!!! Emily jumped out of bed and ran down stares to see what the noise was. When she got to the kitchen she saw Max on the floor picking up pieces of glass. There was water splashed on the floor. "What happened?" Emily asked in a sleepy voice. "I was thirsty and so I came down to get a drink of water and I heard a noise out side so I went to the window to see what it was. Well I saw nothing an stood there confused and then all of a sudden a bird hit the window and scared me and I accidently dropped the glass. I'm sorry I broke the cup". Emily now fully awake seeing that Max was truly sorry said, "it's okay." she looked over at the time to see 10:00, " I'm actually glad you broke the cup because if you hadn't I would still be asleep. Here go and get dressed and ill clean this up and start breakfast." "Okay!" said Max as he ran up stars making sure not to step on glass," Oh and by the way don't get hurt, your more clumsy than I am hehehe!" Max shouted from the stairs. "I won't, and by the way where having pancakes for breakfast." Emily shouted back not denning that she was more clumsy

later that day Max was outside playing while Emily was reading a book and watching the 12 year old boy. " hehehehe that was a funny one can you teach me how to be as funny as you are?" said the boy to thin air. "Who are you talking to Max?" Asked Emily confused. "I'm talking to Jack my new friend." Emily didn't think much of it because she thought it was just an imaginary friend since the boy didn't have any friends of his own. The two were outside for 2 hours and it was starting to get dark so Emily called to Max telling him it was time to go inside so she could start dinner. Until dinner was ready Max sat at the table coloring and asking Emily questions. "What are we having for dinner sis?" asked Max. "Potato soup." replied Emily. " Okay. Hmm ya ill ask, Hey sis Jack wants to know how old you are and if you like candy." Max asked. "Um well I'm 18 and I do like candy." said Emily. A few minutes later dinner was ready and when Max was done Emily told him to go wash up and get ready for bed. They both went to bed early that night because they both had school the next morning. Max is in 6th grade the last year in the Elementary, and Emily was a signor in high school.
