Lost

Chapter 8

I had gotten a dress anyways for the Junior party. When I got home I opened my closet and saw it there in all of it's glory. It was a blue that made my eyes look even deeper of a blue. I grabbed it and put it on. Then I put on the O necklace Oliver had given me which was a silver circle with an O and a pearl. It was simple, but beautiful. Then I put in pearl earrings to match the necklace and slipped on some pretty white wedges. I put some waves in my hair and then put a pretty pastel pink lipstick on. I looked in the mirror and smiled.

I grabbed a sparkly clutch and walked outside. The sun was setting and I looked at it. It warmed my heart. I was so excited for tonight. I drove to the party and waited at the door for Oliver. He showed up literally seconds after I leaned against the school door.

"You look beautiful Tori" he said smiling. He grabbed me hand and we walked into the party. When we walked in, the crowd parted for us and everyone screamed "aw!" And I continued to walk in. Blushing from all the attention. I looked around to see who was here. I saw Starla dancing with some friends. Then I saw Jay and Dana who were laughing like crazy and having a lot of fun. Then Eliza was with a really cute guy called Lossing which answered my question of had she gotten a date. I watched her a little longer then the others because her and Lossing were really cute together. Then I saw Lola and Kiki dancing together and giggling everytime a boy passed them. That was nothing though, because they did that all the time. Then I saw a girl called Isabel. Her and her boyfriend Greyson were sitting next to each other on the bleachers. They were the cutest couple ever and she was leaning against his chest. He was whispering into her ear. I watched as he pushed back her short brown hair and kissed her on the cheek. I smiled just because they were so cute.

The last thing I saw shocked me. In the corner were Riley and Estelle. Together. They were kissing and I turned the opposite way unable to even look at them. Then I did the unthinkable. I went to the punch bowl and grabbed a cup. And before I knew it I was running over to Riley. I dumped the punch on his head where he and Estelle jumped. "I THOUGHT YOU CARED ABOUT ME!" I screamed, my voice cracking a bit from tears I was trying to choke back. But then I let them go.

"YOU TOLD ME YOU BROKE UP! SHE TREATED ME HORRIBLY AND YOU FORGAVE HER!" I yelled the tears streaming off my face. Riley still didn't say anything. So I said one last thing.

"I HATE YOU!" And then I ran off and out through the back doors of the Gym where the dance was being held. I kept running until I was at the far edge of the football field. No one was there. I climbed to the very top of the bleachers where I was hoping no one would find me. And I sat there just crying. I sobbed so much. Then I put my head in my knees blinding my vision And I cried for what seemed like forever.

I felt a hand on the small of my back and I looked up to see Oliver. "your cold" he said and he took off his Jacket from his suit and draped it over my shoulders revealing his sky blue Dress shirt underneath. I leaned against his shoulder and heaved a heavy sigh. Below I could hear the music from the party still going.

"I thought tonight would be great once I found out they broke up" I said disappointedly.

"Yeah. I kinda thought tonight would be perfect too." He said leaning his head closer to mine. We both stared into each other's eyes and we slowly moved closer.

BANG!

A firework went off and I jumped back a little and so did he. Then we smiled and I put my arms around his neck and kissed him. I let go and pulled my arms so that my hands were resting on his collarbones. We put our foreheads together and I smiled and giggled a little. I heard a slow song coming from the Gym now. Oliver stood up and put his hand out to me. "May I have this dance Tori?" He said smiling at me.

"I would love that" I said smiling. I out my hands around his neck again and he put his hands on my waste. I layed my head in his chest and closed my eyes. We seated back and forth until the song was over. Oliver leaned down a little to my ear and whispered something. "I love you" he said and I blushed. "I love you too" I said. And the fireworks continued to crack all around us.
