Lost

Chapter 9

It was Halloween and I had been invited to go with a giant group from at school. It was all of the same people I had talked about at the dance, with the exception that, Riley and Estelle were no where to be seen because they were not invited. And not just to this. They were not invited to anything anymore.

It was about twelve when we started just walking around in the streets. We didn't actually go trick or treating. We just walked around and occasionally hot a house who left the bowl out and dumped the whole thing in our bag laughing. At about three in the morning we headed back to Isabel's house which was jumping; the music cranked up to the max. I walked in and everyone screamed, drunk. I laughed and then everyone continued dancing. And this was the party of all parties.

Isabel then approached me. "Heyyyy!" She said in a drunk way. She pulled Greyson along behind her. Then I slipped my hand into Oliver's and pulled him into the party. We said hi to everyone and then all of the sudden everything stopped. The dancing stopped and the only noise was the sound of the music which even that eventually was turned down to mute by someone. Eliza hung from the railing, also drunk, and screamed "wahoooooooooo! Party Crashersss!" Laughing. Lossing quickly walked over and got her down and laughed at her. Dana stood in front of Jay where Jay had his hand on her shoulder. After Eliza had screamed what she had I could tell the people at the door felt uncomfortable. Then I finally got a glimpse of who it was. Riley and Estelle. Then I started laughing because of what Eliza had said to them. Oliver put his elbow on my shoulder and I laughed saying "who do they think they are"

The crowd parted to reveal Isabel. I wanted to tell her everything about what had happened with Riley and me but something told me she already known. She walked up to them and pointed to the door before saying "LEAVE. NOW" and Estelle rolled her eyes. Riley's eyes were filled with sorrow. He had always been friends with Isabel. Then Estelle pulled him out the door and the party continued like nothing had ever happened.

But I wouldn't forget what happened. I continued dancing with Oliver but I still felt strange after Riley left. This was the first time he hadn't been with me to this Halloween party. And also the junior party. And it felt wierd after so many years to not be with him but with Oliver instead. I tried to forget him but I just couldn't. And I couldn't forgive him though either. Because he had chosen Estelle over me and that was clear. And that was fine with me because I had Oliver.
