Chapter 67: Raphna's Shadow God

I kept getting side tracked with quests that I was slowly forgetting about the books I grabbed. My mom almost got suspicious around when I kept tugging my bag every 30-40 minutes to make sure my books and notes are still there in one piece.

Raphna-"Raven Dragneel. What are you hiding inside that bag of yours?"

Raven-"Books for my to read on the train."

I had to keep quiet about the shadow god thing from her until she finally notices something different about her powers.

Raphna-"Raven can I ask you something.  And this can not do any further, not even  your dad should know about this."

Raven-"Go ahead. I might have something to tell you as well."

Ralphna-"Something has been happening with my lightning. It's starting to spark a little and that's it. Everytime I want a lightning strike to come down out of no where, it's just a tiny spark as well. Something is going on inside my body and I don't know what it is."

Raven-"I might have a book that could tell you everything. But I will give it to you when we get back home."

As we finally get back, I gave mom the book of God Slayers and she understood why I kept it quiet for so long. Gray was busy talking to dad and he knew why I did this behind dad's back. He doesn't need to know something that's so big that he might go crazy or speechless on us all in the guild and at home.

Gray-"So your mom is gonna find out what's going on with her powers? And Natsu is going to know nothing?"

Raven-"It's for the best. I guess. But it said 'if they have a purpose in the future, they will live a happy life with their loved ones.' But I'm gonna make sure that happens with mom and dad so neither one of us dies in the end."

Gray looked at me like I was afraid. And I was. It's my parents for God stake I read upon every day to understand what might happen to the three of us. If one makes a mistake, the future is changed and neither one of us might not live but fight to our deaths. Gray didn't see that because it was written in magic invisible pen. And my lamp was able to detect things in the purple electromagnetic spectrum ray (I give up on school. Don't ask why please.).

I went home and relaxed a bit until I took a few looks on each book. Some pages were empty with writing saying,  'who ever has these books, continue writing on what you see everyday. If you wonder who is speaking, I am no longer alive, but I'm Ali Leperson.' and with the notes I gathered, it updated the books a lot better and I continued the books until all pages were filled up with important notes I took but there were secrets I had found when no one else didn't across with their naked eyes. I thought to myself why, why am I doing this when I know someone will catch me in the act when the whole time I was lying too them all along.

I noticed that the author put where she lived and her friend is still alive. I went to my mom's place then to the guild to grab ask for a four day trip. Mira was fine with it but dad and Gray wanted to know why.

Raphna-"It's not your concern."

Raven-"We are just going on a trip for only four days and we will be back in one  piece."

After we left them behind, mom started too act weird and she had a few black lines going around her arm, and it seemed to bother her.

Her powers were slowly turning to a shadow god and it's going around her arms slowly. I hope she will be fine through the four days.

Once we got to the place, mom seemed pale and felt like shit, and the black lines reached to her fingertips almost like a snake wrapping the tail around the middle finger.

Raven-"Mom, are you okay?"

Raphna-"I read the book and I guess the shadow god slayer powers reached its end and now I'm a god?"

Raven-"Test it out. I guess? Idk I can only  turn into a shadow like Rogue."

Once mom had released black mist around her arms, almost like a black snake popped up and seemed tamed for a reason. Then the snake turned white.
