I stepped outside, the cold British air biting at my bare arms. I saw Van waiting at the bottom of the driveway, standing with his hands down in front of him with a grin.

"Hi." I smiled as I approached him.

"Hi." He smiled back and held the car door open for me.

He ran around the car and slid into the drivers seat.

"I didn't know you could drive McCann?" I teased, easing the tension what could have possibly built if I didn't say nothing.

"I didn't know you could ask such irrelevant questions?" He snapped but sarcastically.

"Irrelevant?" I gasped with a smile, acting offended by his choice of vocabulary.

"I mean, I am 24..and you're what? 12?" He chuckled.

"Hey, I'm not 12..I'm 12 and a half."

"The half makes such a big difference!" He laughed over the radio station what was playing Van's type of music.

"Yes it does. But it doesn't mean you can bully me just because you're taller and older than me." I giggled. I liked us messing and joking about. I had missed it, though I was still confused if he felt the same way.

"Oh so it's about height now?" He chuckled. "Oh my god! This is a tune!" He laughed and turned up the radio so loud that people outside was giving us funny looks when Van was dancing at the traffic lights.

"DONT SAY THAT I NEVER MOVED YOU JUST BECAUSE I SAW THE LIGHT BEFORE YOU DID, YES I KNOW THAT I NEVER SHOWED YOU ALL THE ROOMS INSIDE OF MY SOUUULL!" Van screamed, singing as high as he could bouncing around in his seat.

I recognised this song before. During the tour diaries, they had played it because Van insisted against Benji's favourite song that ' Forgive and Forget' by The Kooks is far better that 'You're Welcome' off the Moana soundtrack. I agree with Van, it is the best.

"YEAH YOU SAY YOU NEED SOMEONE TO LOVE YOU BUT IT AINT ME!" He laughed as he looked at me. I sat with a grin on my face.

"Come on Franks, I know you want to!" He nudged me and I laughed giving in.

We sang the whole song as well as listening to the Arctic Monkeys and The Strokes and a little bit of Tame Impala before we did reach our destination.

We pulled up at dusk. In the middle of nowhere after 2 hours worth of driving and Van's singing. He went around the car to the boot as I stepped out of the car. Shutting the door behind me, Van stood with a blanket and a carrier bag labelled 'Asda'.

We walked down the dusty road like path until we came to a halt.
I could just about see the sun setting with the seagulls crying and chasing after it. The waves slowly crashed against the sand.

"Breathtaking huh?" He lightly nudged me and I nodded taking in the amazing view.
I followed him down a pebbly path until our feet hit the sand. He laid down the towel and placed the carrier bag on top as we both sat down.

"I'm not that prepared so I had to use one of these." He sighed opening the bag to reveal some food and some wine along with glasses.
