Chapter 10

Y/N
Min Yoongi.
That name rang in your head as you thought of Iseul's past that she had told you.
"Yoongi. Yoongi. Yoongi." You muttered to yourself as you heard the door swing open abruptly.
You looked up hastily to see a growling lion. Taehyung sunbaenim.
You gulped nervously seeing his expression. "what's wrong? How can I help?"
Your voice shook, trembling in fear.
"Yoongi? Why were you muttering that name?" Taehyung asked in a low tone as your eyes widened in surprise.
How could he have heard me mutter that from outside? You thought to yourself in bewilderment.
"That was Iseul's first match-" You covered your mouth with your hand as you realized you had spoke without thinking.
Oh shit. I wasn't supposed to say anything about her match. Now Taehyung sunbaenim would know that she didn't have a perfect match... That she went through more than one match made date... shit.
"Wait, that's not what I meant. It was-"
"So she was his match. So she had two matches." Taehyung didn't seem surprised by that statement.
You crossed your fingers in hope, "Please don't tell anyone. Our society-"
"All everyone thinks about is our society and it's reputation. For fuck sake Y/N. Look at everyone around you. Do you honestly think that everything was always perfect?" He suddenly looked up, meeting eye contact with me
His eyes showed a storm wirling inside of it. It showed weakness and vulnerability.
"No. Many went through several different match made dates, but the association never allowed the world to know. Not even reporters. And they did their best, pouring their blood sweat and tears into blocking the world from the news."
You stared at Taehyung like a blank slate in a shock, but it soon washed away as you realized nothing in life was perfect.
"Besides that, why did you enter so abruptly?" You said as if forgetting the whole conversation you had with Taehyung just few seconds ago.
"Yoongi. That name itself infuriates me." Taehyung muttered while a deeper scowl lit across him.
"What's so wrong with a guy named Yoongi? You have and give me so many questions yet you never tell me the answers to them." You whined in annoyance.
He nodded understandingly and started to speak in a defeated tone. "Iseul. I was very close with her and I still am. Well did Iseul tell you the reason why she left Yoongi?"
You nodded in response as Taehyung closed the door behind him.
"He stole someone's medication. Specifically, a medication that was the only cure to their illness." You nodded showing the signal that you were listening, since Iseul had already explained that to you.
"And that cure is very hard to get your hands on, there only being a limited amount in the world, being held captive by the head of the medication department. See, you can't get it easily and the owner had it right under their nose, just waiting for the scheduled day at the hospital to use it."
Iseul had explained to you everything that Yoongi had done, which led to her becoming infuriated and leaving him. They had a steady relationship until this incident had occurred, leaving her in shock and disappointment.
"But guess what, the next day a call comes in from the hospital, informing the patient of how his medication got stolen, of how he couldn't be cured anymore, of how he could now only wait for death." You could hear how broken he was in his trembling voice.
He's fighting still.
"And that patient was me. Me, Kim Taehyung." Your eyes widened hearing this.
Yoongi had stolen the only cure to Taehyung's illness. He had a deadly illness the whole time and you never knew about it.
"This Min Yoongi guy, stole the one and only cure to my illness that I'll probably never get my hands on... again. He stole it to cure his brother. His older brother who had the same illness as me but couldn't obtain the medication, because of his family's past actions."
"Don't get me wrong. Yoongi's family has a lot of wealth. Being rich, wouldn't you think that receiving the cure would be a piece of cake? Well, their family records show a record of crimes. I don't know, compare it to a mafia of some sorts. That's not going to convince the head of our country's medical department to hand a cure to them." Taehyung scoffed as tears filled the brim of his eyes.
"That's why I despise him. I hate the name Min Yoongi. I can't do anything about this, yet he's in this hospital right now, receiving treatment, for what good has he done?"
You stared at the trembling male in front of you, wanting to reach out and comfort him. You wanted to wash away his pain as it also pained you seeing others feel miserable, screaming for their dear life.
You clenched your mint blouse as you bit your bottom lip. You stretched your hand out when Taehyung left, slamming the door, leaving you speechless and hurt.
