*Third Person POV*

She sighed.

8:45...

8:46...

8:47...

She was tired of counting every second of every minute, of each hour...which was totally understandable. After all, the young woman hadn't seen her husband in 3 weeks, almost a month...but to her it felt like 3 decades. They had made him an offer he couldn't refuse. The Wild Rhythm Tour had gone over so well in Australia that a popular dance studio there had personally requested for them to come back to teach a dance convention for their students. Unfortunately, she had to decline due to scheduling issues and important audition dates, but he was happy to go. Happy to pack his bags and leave for an all expenses paid excursion to "The Land Down Under"....without  her. She knew it was harmless so the two discussed it and agreed that he could go teach.  She also agreed not to worry too much and give him time to enjoy himself. That didn't stop her from missing him though...It was cute seeing him show the kids how to do a hip hop selection (some kids picking it up and some not, lol) and seeing him goof around with them (all videos he had sent to her via text), but she wished she could be there.

He had texted her yesterday saying he had just boarded the flight back to Toronto and that he couldn't wait to see her, and considering that he had an 18 hour long flight ahead of him, the feeling was mutual. Now she was simply just waiting, curled up on the sofa in her living room with a movie that she wasn't even really paying attention to playing on the flat screen  in front her, anxiously checking her phone every 5 minutes. She didn't like falling asleep alone at night so she was determined to stay awake and see her husband come home. Her eyes darted around the room as she rubbed the silky fabric of her short baby blue nightgown. Now she was just bored. She had wanted to give him his space...but her attempt to sit and wait patiently was clearly not working. 'I should just call him' she thought, 'see where he is, see how he's doing'.  She picked up her IPhone and dialed his number.

It rang once...

twice...

3 times...

At the forth ring she began to get discouraged and was about to hang up, but then the phone clicked and his sweet voice came through.

"Hey baby, how's it goin'?" Her heart started to beat faster at the way he called her 'baby', and she started to squeal inwardly from the excitement.

"Um, Britt? You there?" His voice broke her from her awkward state.

"Trev, babe hi, how are you?"

"I'm good Britt. I'm sorry I didn't answer sooner I had to settle my luggage." He laughed and her stomach felt butterflies.

"Oh, that's ok...um..."

"What's up Britt? tell me." She loved  how he knew her so well that he could tell when she needed something. She took a breath, but it came out shaky. He truly didn't know how desperate she was for him...she felt absolutely alone without him here. She took another breath and steadied herself.

"Um, I just wanted to know when you'd be here Trev...I really  miss you. I didn't want to keep calling because I didn't want to be a bother, but-" He immediately stopped her. The love of his life was never  a nuisance.

"Oh Brittany you're never a bother to me! I really miss you too trust me. I'll try and be home as soon as I can, ok?" She sighed in relief. He felt the same way she did, of course he did a better job of hiding it than her.

"I just got out of the terminal and I'm in the car now...traffic is kinda slow so I may be another hour, but I'll drive as fast as I can though." She laughed a bit

"Promise me you won't drive to fast Trev, I don't want you to get a ticket or worse catch a tailspin..."

"Ok, ok I promise. Oh! Lamar is calling, B...Did you want to stay on and call him back later?" Brittany loved him and as much as she wanted to keep talking, she diverted back to her first plan and gave him his space.

"No, No go ahead! You talk to Lamar because you're all mine when you get here." He laughed again.

"Ok, looking forward to it, I'll see you soon Britt." He disconnected her call and took Lamar's. She smiled to herself satisfied. The thought of Trevor rushing home to be with her made a wave of calm rush over her, and she couldn't wait to see his smile again!

***2hrs later***

Brittany's movie was just about over when she heard the sound of keys and the knob to the front door started to move. 'Oh my gosh!' she thought, 'Trevs home!' He came inside dragging his suitcase behind him and smiling, knowing he would get attacked with hugs and kisses from Britt. He looked at her and she was already sitting straight up on the couch patting her lap excitedly.

"Hey babe! Miss me?"  She literally flew off of the couch and ran into his arms, holding him in a tight embrace, which caused him to drop his luggage and keys due to her force. Brittany may have been petite...but man, she was strong!

"Of course I did!" She said then she kissed his cheek. Once he properly steadied himself, he wrapped his arms around her lower back to hold her.

"Geez I was only gone for 3 weeks, B!" He joked. She pulled back and looked at him sassily.

"3 weeks? Really? It felt like 3 years...anyways 3 weeks too long." he looked into her soft eyes, the very eyes that would drive him crazy, and saw a hint of sadness. He knew that even though she was trying to be light-hearted and playful, there was something she wasn't expressing to him.

"What's wrong Brittany?"

She sighed and smiled. "I just realized that a lot of things can change in 3 weeks, is all. Sure it's been fun hanging out with the girls and seeing you having a great time...but it doesn't compare to you being here. That's different."

He returned her concerned look with a gentle smile. "You're right Britt, it is...but I'm here now. Australia was fun and I always  enjoy going, but right here is home and nothing can change that."  He squeezed her in a hug, just taking in the moment.

After hugging each other a little while longer, the pair moved to the kitchen to eat dinner and catch up.

"You know the one question the kids at the convention kept asking me?" Trevor asked digging into his pasta.

"What?"

"Where's Brittany? Why isn't Brittany here with you? I want to take a picture with Riley, where is she?" He explained in a child-like voice, making the blonde giggle. "They really love the idea of us together."

She smirked. "Yeah? Well I'm lucky enough get to live in this wonderful reality everyday..."

After dinner and more talk of Australia, they sat on the couch together, just to enjoy each others company.

"You know that I love you right?" Trevor whispered looking at her intensely. "No matter how far away I am from you...just know that I do, no matter what. Distance doesn't change a thing."

She looked up at him and smiled sweetly. She could tell in his eyes that every word he had just said was true. "Of course I know that. I also know that I'm home whenever I'm with you."

He smiled. "I love you Brittany."

"I love you too, Trevor."

And that was that, lol.
