JACE
It's almost been 2 years since I met Clary and since that night that's on reply in my head all the time, nothing's happened. Sure we've spoke a lot and did stuff together with everyone else too but we've never been exactly along together like that night and we haven't 'took the next step' so we're still friends but I want to be more than that. I want to see her every second of every day, hold her in my arms and kiss her. It's been two damn years and nothing serious has really happened. Summers coming to an end, junior year here we come and no surprise Izzy wants to throw a party on the last Saturday of summer before its bye late nights out and hello can't wait till schools out. Like every other time Izzy's planned something, she always manages to plan it when we have the house to ourselves and sometimes need to take turns for Max but Izzy made sure he was staying with a friend the night as she quotes "the best part yet" will occur. Maybe I'll finally tell Clary how I've felt these past two years or maybe the opportunity will come and I'll completely miss it. Again.
As soon as I'm ready, I go for breakfast which is thankfully cooked by Alec.
"Chocolate covered strawberries and waffles?" Izzy says as I walk into the kitchen.
"Wait, Clary's here?" I ask quickly trying to hide any excitement that could spring up to the surface at any known moment. Izzy, Alec and Max all laughed. "What?" I say.
"You owe me 5 dollars Alec." Izzy says in response, still laughing. The little devils, they really know how to get my hopes up."She's not here." Izzy says. "But she will be soon since we're going shopping for Saturday and whatever she wears, try and stay focused when you see her." I try and give her a confused look to act like I didn't know what she was talking about, but I knew exactly what. Every time I saw Clary she was stunning in everything, even when she had just got up first thing in the morning without brushing her hair or taking a shower. Izzy must've noticed that any time she was wearing something that fitted her body perfectly I'd always get lost and can never take my eyes off her. I guess it was more obvious than I thought, I hope Clary hasn't noticed it.
CLARY
I have a busy day ahead, by busy I mean shopping with Izzy until we find the perfect outfits for Saturday which is the back to school party everyone's been talking about and being hosted by none other than the Lightwoods. Who have became very popular in the last 2 years. Izzy's now the cheerleading captain since Tessa left, Jace is the football captain and has girls all over him basically all the time. Which I'm okay with, or maybe a little jealous but nothing's happened between us. Our little flirtations stopped that night we fell asleep together on the Lightwoods couch in freshman year. My feelings for him haven't went away, if anything they've gotten stronger. Clearly he was only flirting or he would've done something by now, right?
Izzy called and said I'd to go over to hers as soon as I could, I had been up for hours and was basically ready. I had black jeans and a dark red tank top on, I picked up my denim jacket and laced up my vans before walking out the door. It was a 20 minute walk from my house to Izzy's and Max opened the door when I got there. "She's upstairs." He said.
"Thanks Max." I replied and ruffled his hair which he fixed afterwards."Ahhhh you're here thank god, help me pick what to wear." Izzy shouted from the top of the stairs and I couldn't help but laugh. She had layer out light blue skinny ripped jeans, white high waisted jeans and a black pair of jeans similar to my own. She had a loose flowey grey top also laid out with a short sleeved navy blue crop top. "Black jeans and blue crop top." I say, noticing Jace slowly walking past. "Perfect." She says and walks behind her divider to get changed.
We'd been walking around for hours and still haven't found the right dresses, until bam Izzy almost screamed and dragged me into a shop. She picked up a dress that was definitely made for her and then I found a dress that was extremely pretty. "That's your dress." I heard Izzy say, I took it and went to find killer heels which were of course a must need and also accessories. Izzy found a bracelet that coiled around her wrist like a snake and a red pendent. I found some earrings to match my dress and a silver bracelet.
