Chapter 11 - The last game

The final game of the year was only now hours away, the boys had left at nine in the morning and what Clary and Izzy assumed have been training and practicing all day. The game started at 7 which gave the girls almost three hours to be fully ready and have their space which had to be at the very front. Clary was stressing out a lot more than normal, she wanted to look the best she ever had before in her life and with Izzy's help she managed to do it. No surprise that the girls were getting ready at Izzy's so Clary brought dark maroon high waisted skinny jeans, a white almost see through no sleeved cropped top, her low cut black and white old skool leather vans and to finish it all off, Jace's varsity jacket.  Izzy wore white skinny jeans with a booby silk top, leather jacket and of course knee length black heels, Clary applied a little more make up than normal but didn't look much different, Izzy helped tame her curls and make them more wavy as Izzy kept her hair straight.

It was 6:45 by the time Clary and Izzy made their way down to the field, luckily Simon and Magnus had gotten there earlier to get front row seats. Just before the game started, all the boys came out with Jace and Alec at the front, everyone cheered until the game was at half time. During the whole brake Simon and Izzy made out literally not taking a single breath, Clary noticed Jace talking to someone who wasn't on the team or if they were, they were a sub or something like that and Jace didn't look happy, he looked frustrated and holding back. He looked up and saw Clary watching, then immediately walked away from whoever he was talking to.
"Don't worry about it biscuit." Said Magnus acknowledging Clary's weariness towards Jace, she smiled back as the game started again.

There was so much happening in the second half, one minute the other team were winning and the next Jace and Alec's team were, it was going to be a serious close call. The last three minutes had everyone's hearts racing and then at the last possible second, Jace made the winning score. Jace was lifted up onto people's shoulders as he got handed the biggest trophy Clary had ever seen, Izzy pulled Clary off the stands and to her car without saying anything and Simon and Magnus following behind.
"Iz what are you doing?" Clary asked as she was still looking behind her trying to look for Jace.
"Relax, you'll see him at the Blackthorn's." Izzy replied unlocking the car letting everyone in.

Clary walked into the Blackthorn's with Izzy by her side and already the party was going, they stumbled past all the people to where the drinks were, Izzy poured Clary's cup right up to the rim.
"Are you trying to get me drunk?" Clary shouted over the music.
"What? No, of course not." Izzy giggled, they'd been at the party for around 20 minutes before the boys showed up, Jace caught a glimpse of Clary's hair in the living room before Izzy dragged her away and pulled her onto the table and started dancing. Clary and Izzy danced together on top of the table, moving in time to the music before Jace pushed through the crowed to reach Clary, he grabbed her hips pulling her off the table as she rested her hands on his shoulders. Their lips met, his lips were soft and desirable urging for more, her's were smooth and loving never wanting to let go.

"Okay love birds, you know there's like hundreds of rooms in this place right?" Izzy said squeezing in between them, braking them apart.
"Iz how much have you had?" Jace questioned.
"Um well I had some, pre drinks...."
"Izzy your some could differ from 5 to 30." Said clary laughing.
"I have no idea how much but why does that matter? It's good for the soul." Izzy said taking yet another drink from her cup.
"You say that now but will regret this after Alec's hangover cure." Jace teased.
"Ugh loosen up a little big bro, you're not leaving yet."
Izzy wandered off leaving Jace and Clary alone again, they went to where the drinks were and Clary poured Jace a beer, they talked to others in the kitchen for a while before Alex Stewart came out of no where.

"Hey Jace, Clary."
"Hey Alex, did you see the game?" Clary asked energetically, she had now hit the number of drinks where she started to get a little hyper and out of her comfort zone.
"Uh no I couldn't but I heard the captain made the winning goal." Alex replied back smiling at Jace, Clary wrapped her arms around his chest and placed her head on his heart, smiling from ear to ear.
"So big things coming up huh?" Alex asked.
"You mean like prom, graduation, colleges? That's as big as life gets right now doesn't it." Clary giggled to herself.
"Yeah but I mean with Jace-" Alex started to say before Jace shook his head signalling him to stop.
"With Jace what?" Clary asked curiously.
"Uh never mind." Alex replied and took a drink before slowly walking away to avoid the next events about to unravel.
