JACE

It's been a 7 weeks since Clary broke up with me and not once has she been at school. I over heard Izzy say to simon that Clary's mom had said that she won't leave her room and she wouldn't talk to anyone, not even Izzy. I still care for her, I really do but I can't help but wonder why this seems so much harder for her to face me than it is for me to face her. As I entered the main hallway she was standing at her locker with Sebastian half leaning over her. She's got to be kidding right. I thought I'd never feel this much anger in me before, our lockers were right next to each other's which meant I knew Sebastian would open his mouth and act like he's the king.

"Oh hey Jace." He said as I opened my locker to retrieve my books. I could see Clary looking down in the corner of my eye as I chose to ignore the words coming out of Sebastian's mouth. "Come on Herondale, you can't blame her for moving on so quickly can you?" I still said nothing. I closed my locker and left to find Alec and Simon.
"I'll see you at practice then!" He shouted as I walked away, with about 50 different feelings circling my body, the main feeling being rage. I found Alec and we had history first, she was going to be sitting in front of me for 2 periods and no surprise Sebastian had managed to make his way into our class. Izzy had walked in shortly after with her head high and started making small talk with Alec and I before they walked in. Everyone stared in their direction, trying to process what was happening. Clary took her seat in front of mine and Sebastian sat in front of her.

"So, your place or mine princess?" He said turning himself round to look at her. "Neither, I'm not going anywhere with you. Ever." She replied with force but Sebastian wasn't surprised. He chuckled as a matter of fact, possibly already knowing his answer. "Babe, come on. It was for the best alright, I was only looking out for you." Said Sebastian with a soft tone.
"By threatening people."  Clary spat out, she was clearly angry. Izzy, Alec and I all just sat back and watched them argue and try and figure out who they were talking about and who he had been threatening.
"Maybe you should take more of those pills to calm down." Sebastian said.
"What pills?" I said without realising, I know I shouldn't have asked and should've left it to Izzy to speak but I didn't and I didn't get the answer from Clary.

"She's been taking around, let's see how many, at least 6 pills every 4 hours and she's been doing it everyday for the past four weeks."
We were all shocked, Izzy the most. "When the hell were you going to tell me?!" Said Izzy half shouting. Clary didn't make eye contact with anyone, he eyes were glued forward until she got up and rushed out of class with Izzy only a few seconds behind.

IZZY

I followed Clary as she ran out the class and into the nearest toilets. When I stepped through the door she had locked herself in one of the cubicles. "Clary?" I didn't get an answer, a short minute later I heard a tub being opened. "Clary open the door please." I begged and begged but she wouldn't listen, the bell had rang and classes ended for break. Jace and Alec walked in a few minutes later.
"How is she?" Alec asked. I shook my head giving him the signal that I got nothing. "Maybe she'll talk to Simon or Magnus?" Alec suggested while Jace and I stayed quiet. I nodded in response and Alec left to find them.
"Clary, please talk to me." I said, Jace knew it would be best if she thought he wasn't here and there could've been more of a chance that she would come out. "Clary, I can help you, we all can if you just talk to us." She finally spoke for the first time after being in here for almost 30 minutes.

"You can't." She said. "You can't help, it's my fault it happened and I don't want you dragged into it." Jace looked at me with worried eyes, I got a feeling he now knew what was going on and spoke up.
"Clary, it's not your fault. You can't keep blaming yourself for that, if it's anyone's fault it's his, not yours."
"You don't understand." I could tell she was now crying by the sound of her voice. She opened the door and came out with tears streaming down her face. She looked straight at Jace once she stepped out of the cubicle. Even with them both heartbroken they still had a strong connection to each other. More tears came down her face and I stood by her side holding her.
