The following day, Stephen had been working with Drez in his workshop. The two had found a common interest in technology and were working on a modification for Toot: A holographic projector. This would allow Drez to relay visual information to the rest of the team while they were out on a mission. Drez carefully put the completed chip inside Toot's head before closing the hatch. "Let's try it out, shall we?" Drez asked. Stephen pushed a button on a remote and Toot sparked slightly before projecting an image of a cube which flickered once every couple of seconds. "It's a work in progress but it's functional at least." Toot stopped projecting the image and hopped around happily as if pleased that it was able to use its new mod. Stephen made a mental note to ask Drez about Toot's AI later as it was more complex than any he'd seen before despite the robot being no taller than a mobile phone.

A warning message popped up on one of the many computers on the desk. It flashed red and emitted a siren. Drez clicked and an image of a colossal beast tearing down waves upon waves of UNIT troops in its path of destruction.

"I heard the sirens, what's going on?" Paz rushed into the room followed by Chico who stood near the doorframe, clutching it, as if trying to spy on the others but failing miserably.

"A giant monster is attacking Bellegreave cove. Looks like UNIT's trying to take it down." Drez responded.

Paz looked at the image. She momentarily flinched in horror before gripping her sword tightly and quietly growling in anger. "Out of my way!" She shoved Stephen to the side, making a beeline for the elevator out.

"Hold up!" Stephen stood managed to not only catch up but stand in her way. "Before any of us try to face that thing, we need to come up with a strategy so don't go full-hulk on it yet."

"You think this is the time for jokes!?" She looked furious. Forget dogs, Paz was the scariest thing Stephen had ever seen. "That beast destroyed my home! It killed my father! It left me an orphan with only my mother's sword to my name!" Despite not letting an ounce of her fury subside, tears were swelling up in her eyes as she spoke. Whether it was out of fear or sorrow, Stephen stood aside and let her through.

"You can't blame her." Drez broke the following silence, "She's had a troubling past. She gets a chance a vengeance and you know she wouldn't pass it up."

"But we can't just let her fight on her own." Chico spoke up.

"We're not going to. We need to get out there ASAP." Drez turned to Stephen, "Stephen, you're leading the attack."

"Me? I have no combat experience."

"But you have your powers. Besides, a spearhead cannot be used without the rest of the spear with it. Chico will go with you and I'll provide tactical support from back here. Take Toot with you just in case and I've already hooked up our comm links to your helmet."

"This thing has comm links?"

"Regardless go, now. Bellegreave cove isn't far. Paz is probably already there."

"Are you sure Chico shouldn't stay here for her own safety."

"I can defend myself." Chico piped up. "I have my telekinesis."

"Well, if you're ready, let's go!" Stephen ordered before the two headed to the elevator, picking up Toot along the way. After reaching the top, the duo headed towards Bellgreave cove to help their comrade.

When they arrived, the damage was evident. The creature had already left the area but it was clear to tell which way it went. A path of destruction was left in its wake. Destroyed houses, smashed glass and UNIT troop corpses lay scattered.

Getting closer, the duo noticed a red object lying on the ground. Paz.

Stephen and Chico rushed to her aid. She was alive. Badly injured but alive. "Paz!" Chico yelled, "Are you okay?"

Coughing, Paz attempted to sit up, "I'm... fine. But it... got away." She collapsed back to the ground.

"You are not fine. Save your strength." Stephen began, "You'll get your vengeance some other time. Chico, can you get her back to base?"

"What are you going to do?"

"I'm going to see if I can force that thing back where it came from for now. It'll buy you some time to get back." Chico still seemed hesitant, "Don't worry. I'll be back soon." Stephen ran off in the line of destruction while Chico helped Paz back to base.

When Stephen arrived at the beast's location, it had reached a nearby port, The creature was massive. It was over twice Stephen's height and had a thick blue body. It had no eyes or nose but instead a gaping mouth, lined with rows upon rows of teeth. It walked about on four relatively short legs which each ended in a foot the size of a large tree stump.

The creature oddly wasn't destroying anything, well, anything much. Instead it seemed to be looking for something. A parent looking for a child wouldn't be so reckless as to destroy nearby houses so it couldn't be looking for a baby.

Stephen threw a fireball at it in hopes of doing something. It hit the skin but didn't appear to do anything at all. Throwing shurikens at it just caused them to bounce off. The 'assault' caught the creature's attention though. It seemed to survey Stephen's appearance for a second before raising it's foot to swipe at him.

Realising it's intentions, Stephen tried to flee. Unfortunately, it was in vain as he felt a strong force hit him and everything went black.
