I looked at myself in the mirror. My skin pealed off a hundred times and I knew I wouldn't be myself in a day.

Flashing back through my memory, this is the time where everything becomes so clear to me. But then I forget easily.

My hair seems thicker and shorter each hour. My nails keep growing longer. I sighed and quickly went into the living room to take a nap.

"Maybe I'll dream about my mom and remember her sweat perfume smell." I thought.

So I laid down the comfy couch and drifted off back in time.

:5 years ago:

Diego and I made our way to the back door of the witch's house.

"Shh..." said Diego turning to look at me.

He pushed opened the door carefully as it made a low creek sound. The back door lead to the kitchen room.

Food crumbs, trash, and a load of uncleaned plates filled the room.

"Where do you think she keeps her magic stuff?" I asked.

"Where do you she'll leave it?" he asked.

"Umm..."

"The basement!" he said.

"Ohh."

We kept walking and looking at things around her house. In one room, we saw clothes everywhere and a messy drawer. "This is probably her room." whispered Diego. We walked down the narrow hallway and saw other uncleaned rooms. "Doesn't this lady clean around here?!" cried Diego.

I walked looking around the place. "Nothing suspicious." I said. Then I tripped on something and fell. "H-hey!" I yelled. I looked on what I tripped on and noticed the small crack with a little knob on it.

"This is strange." I thought. "Diego! I think I found something."

"What is it?" he asked.

"How an I supposed to know?" I answered.

"Lets check it out!"

"I'm right behind you."

We pulled the small knob and out the door popped.

"I think we broke it." I said.

"Leave it like that! we don't know when the witch will come back. I doubt she's be back so quick." he said climbing down some small steps.

"A-alright."I followed him, going down the steps, into a small dark room.

"Whoa! what is this place?" I asked.

The room looked small but then after turning on a switch, it was much bigger than we thought. There were many tubes and chemicals. Animals in cages, papers, leftover food, and apple juice?

"This is probably where the witch plans her schemes!" said Diego.

I nodded.

"Whatever you do don't touch anything!" he warned.

We kept looking around until we heard a laugh fading above.

"Its the witch! Quick hide Carolina." He hurried off closing the small door and turned off the lights.

I ran pass a table, knocking down a cylinder and it shattered against the floor. "oh no!" I whispered. I left it there and hid behind a large box. I hadn't noticed where Diego went.

"Oh man. Now what do I do? just sit here and wait?!" I thought. "Diego?" I whispered hoping he'll respond back. But nothing called back.

I was about to get up and search for him, until I heard foot steps coming down the room.
