"I will Abe. I promise you, that she will always be safe and protected with me. And I will try to make her as happy as I possibly can."

"I know that you will Dimitri, thank you." With those parting words, I went to the gym, to have another talk, with my little girl.

When I arrived, she was throwing knives at a target across the gym. And she never missed, she always hits her intended target.

Sometimes, she even practices with people trying to distract her. But once she was in the zone, nothing deterred her. It was like she got into some kind of a trance.

"Kiz, I need to talk to you." I said, after she had thrown her knife.

I watched as she walked over to her gym bag and took out a towel and a bottle of water. Afterwards, we sat down in some chairs next to the wall.

"What do you need baba?"

"I am sorry little girl."

(RPOV)

What was he sorry for exactly? It's not like he got cancer on purpose.

"For what baba?"

"Asking you to marry Dimitri before I get so sick that I can't walk you down the aisle."

"Oh baba, you know that I would do anything for you."

"I know baby girl, I know."

"I just wish that I didn't need to do this. I have always wanted to marry for love, like you and mom did."

"I know baby. And if I had more time then maybe you could get to know Dimitri better before you married him. But with the progression of this disease..."

"It is ok baba, I understand. And I promise you that I will do this with as little argument as I can possibly manage." I smiled at him.

"Thank you kiz. Now, go get ready. I sent a new dress and shoes, to your room for you to wear tonight."

"What color is it?"

He laughed, "black, of course."

We laughed together. "Well, sometimes one of us does get red, but thanks baba. Will I have to leave soon?"

"We still have a few months before the actual wedding, I think. But I am not sure. You and Dimitri will have to decide, if you want to get married here or in Russia. And exactly when you want to get married."

"It doesn't matter to me baba, as long as everyone is there. Because I only intend to do this once in my life time."

"While Lissa is here you need to go dress shopping. Or you can design one of your own and I can have it made."

"Thanks baba."

"You are welcome baby." We got up to leave, picking up my gym bag, my father offered me his arm.

After leaving the gym we walked to my room arm in arm. When we made it to my room he kissed my cheek and left.

I went inside, and looked at the dress my father had left for me. It was beautiful. As my father said, it was black coming about three inches above my knees. With a three-inch slit on the right side.

The whole dress was silk covered in sequins; the bodice of the dress came to points at the top of the breasts. The edges and down the sides of the points were covered in clear rhinestones. The shoes were the new Louboutin six inch heels that baba had commissioned for me. These were different from everyone else in the worlds because they had little satin bows on the back of them.
