"After making their pledge to each other and the rings already having been exchanged. Rose and Dimitri have decided to do the candle lighting ceremony."
The priest moved and Mason and Eddie set up the candles and candelabra. Roza and I continued to look into each other's eyes as each of the guys lit a single white tapered candle. And then placed them into the triple pronged candelabra before returning to their seats.
Roza and I each took one of the single candles and began to recite what we had written for this part of our ceremony.
"I Dimitri/Rose, use this flame of my past life to ignite the flame of our future life together. From this single flame I extinguish my life of loneliness, sadness and heartache. And ignite the flame of love, loyalty, respect, faithfulness and family. With my soul mate Mitya/Roza, from this day forth we are as one. One heart, one mind, one soul, one body, one love and one family. Never shall our love end, forever shall we cherish our love for each other. Our wedding rings are never ending circles of gold representing the never ending circle of our love and life together."
With those words spoken we took the candles, and lit the matching unity candle. Before blowing out the fire from the single candles and replacing them in the candelabra. Before saying the last few words that we had prepared.
"This single flame is an example of the never ending flame of our love. This flame is never to be extinguished, just like our love for each other."
Again, Mason and Eddie came to carefully remove the unity candle and the candelabra. Making sure that the flame of the unity candle stayed lit. From that candle, an eternal flame would be lit on our Baia property. Showing everyone that ever saw it that our love was and always would be eternal.
Once Mason and Eddie had resumed their seats the priest resumed his place.
"Dimitri, you may at long last kiss your bride."
Now that was one thing that he did not need to tell me twice.
As Roza and I kissed Ivan tried to break up our passionate kiss.
"Dimka, I have already told you this, I know. But, you can crawl back out from down her throat now."
Everyone laughed.
But Roza and I, we however reacted a little bit differently. We figured that he would pull something like this so we were ready for it. I reached into my jacket and Roza into a slit in her dress at her thigh. We both pulled out guns that were not loaded, we didn't want any accidents after all, and pointed them in his general direction.
Leaning back from the kiss without taking our eyes from each other we both told him, "back off." Then, we went back to kissing. While replacing the guns back where they came from. Everyone in the church busted up with laughter. Every adult there knew what business we were in as they were all in similar businesses or knew about it.
I even heard Ivan laughing before he said, "damn, they are just made for each other." Which caused another round of laughter throughout the church.
After our long and passion filled kiss. The priest closed the ceremony with, "Today we have all witnessed the joining of Dimitri Belikov and Rosemarie Mazur Belikova. They have stood here before the eyes of God and these witnesses. And made their promises of love, fidelity, respect and loyalty to each other. In light of this, please allow me to introduce you all to Dimitri and Rose Belikov. I wish you both many many many years of love and happiness together. The Belikov's, ladies and gentlemen."
When Roza and I turned to face our guests everyone stood and cheered for us as we walked back down the aisle. Together, this time.
A table had been set up just inside the church for everyone to retrieve a bottle of bubbles. Roza and I stopped next to that same table and kissed again. Giving the guests time to make it out front before we did.
