Apollo x reader (Break)

You sat parallel to Apollo as he read his book

"Apollo" You say gravely.

"Yes, my dear? You sound distraught" He said putting down his book.

"We need to talk" You say just above a whisper

"What's this about? Are you pregnant? Did someone offend you? Or are you hungry?" He asked with concern

"I've been thinking about it for a while now..." You avoided his gaze

"Go on. I wont be mad" He smiled kindly, which didnt help the situation

"I think we should take a break" You finally said.

"Oh? And where would you like to take a break? The beach? Spa? Hiking? Or-" You cut him off

"No, I mean WE should take a break from each other" Apollo frowned

"For how long? A week?" He asked standing up and walking towards you

"Indefinite. I just think we arent working out" You sigh. Apollo looked confused and tried to take your hands in his but you quickly stood up

"(Y/n), I love you" He tried to take your hand again

"Whatever it is I did wrong, Im sorry, but please dont do this" He followed you as you walked to the doors of his temple

"Im sorry, Pol. Please, I'd like to go home" You murmur looking down. Apollo's heart couldnt take it. He looked away and snapped

"If you want to leave do it on your own!"

"I dont even know where your temple is! How am I supposed to go home?!" You exclaim looking at the god who had his back turned to you

"Then STAY" He seethed. You whimpered. At times you forget that he's a god. And the gods have a reputation of being benevolent at times.

"Please, Apollo-" You started but when the temperature of the room rised you stopped.

"You cant leave me, (y/n). I've already had my heart broken by two mortals...once was enough...please dont" His voice cracked in by the end

"Apollo, Please. Dont-" You stopped when Apollo looked at you. His form changed. He took on a more godly appeal

"I-I can change! Whatever it is you want just-just stay!" His hair changed from blonde to black to brown, from long to short to curly and straight.

His complexion went from tan to pale to brown to black

"Apollo, I've fallen for someone else" You choke out. Apollo's form stopped changing. He now had military cut black hair and dull grey eyes.

"What?" He whispered "to who?!" He yelled before breaking down and crying

"Someone once told me that if I ever loved two people, I should choose the second one, because if I truly loved the first then I wouldnt have fallen for the second" You explain calmly

"...goodbye" Apollo muttered before snapping his fingers and sending you back home
