"I missed the kiss under the fireworks"
***I apologized. I apologized falling on my knees. I didn't care people were watching, it's not that they mattered. The one who did matter had forgiven me with a reassuring smile followed by a sigh.
"Virat I swear I'm going to make it up to you" I said getting up taking his hands
"I know you will Sanyukta" he clasped my hands
"Now, right now" I nodded my head abruptly
"No.. No" he shook a no ruffling his hair
"Please" I begged
"I'm going to get late" he pinched my shoulders "I've got to leave for London now"
"Just-just five minutes?" I smiled hopefully
He bit his lip confused and doing things in his head. Calculations, speculations.
"Come on Virat"
"Okay" he agreed nodding frivolously
"Okay" I held my mouth over my hand haptic "date?"
"Sure!" He chuckled
I rushed him to a table with minimal lunch arranged on it. We sat at the dinner and started to feast.
"It's tasty" he commented taking a bite of egg Macaroni salad
"It's low on fat" I said to remove all sorts of his second thoughts
"Yeah" he exclaimed
I hummed taking my bite
"Flowers?" He said wiping the corner of his lips with the table cloth and offering me a hand
"Ofcourse" I got up taking it
"Violet" I pointed out as he picked out a orchid bouquet for me
"Dance?" I asked motioning the orchestra
"Love to" he placed his hands on my waist and other leading my hand
We danced to a little jazz and blues
"So how's the" I searched for words "champions trophy?"
"It's going good till now" he replied "it hasn't started actually" he stopped a little
"Team selected. You could've taken Gambhir" I smiled awkwardly
He eyed me "KKR" he rolled his eyes
"KKR" I smiled shyly shrugging my shoulders
"Work?"
"Huh? Ahh yes, going good."
"Going to come?"
"Let's see"
He stopped at that a little annoyed
"Desert?" I dragged him to that same dinner table with different arrangements
"Cheesecake?" He looked up at me
"Yeah" I said filling my spoon and holding up for him who did an "aaa"
"Delicious right?"
"As if you made it" he taunted
"Virat!" I ate the cheesecake
"Too high for my calorie intake" he got up before I could finish my yummy cheesecake
"Wait I didn't-"
He stood in front of me, arms crossed.
"Fine" I laughed getting up
"Only 45 secs"
"Champagne?" I caught hold of two glasses brimmed
"To our date and love" he cheered the glass pieces
I gulped down the first sip and there was fireworks in background
"Did you really do that?" He asked amazed
"Nope. Coincidence i guess" I smiled
"Uhunn" he said finishing his glass "selfie" he took out his own phone as I shifted closer smiling cheek to cheek looking at the phone camera. As he clicked the selfie the timer went off.
Our five minute date was over.
I stared at the fireworks regretting in the moment "I missed the kiss under the fireworks" I looked down disappointed
"No you didn't" he said lifting up my chin using his index finger and kissing me gently yet passionate and giving me those stomach twirling butterflies as he put my hair strands behind my ear parting.
"Thank you, for giving me the best five minutes of my life" he looked into my eye. I blushed. "And you're definitely coming to watch me hit a century" he tapped my cheek slightly and left.
A/N: I just wrote it. Solemnly stolen from Ted Mosby. :) With a little personal editting.
Btw I have a draft which is really out of the box a little too much. Drugs and foreign and all that. I just can't find a way to end it. Suggest something. Like anything. The girl is either bisexual or hates guys, like hates love and all.. You're getting it?
