Being an almost eighteen year old dad is hard. Responsibilities are piled sky high and the odds of me being a good dad like mine was to me is quite bleak. But the smile on my baby's face makes me think I'm doing alright.
But along came Bobby...
Little do you know I'm trying to pick myself up, piece by piece,
Little do you know,
I need a little more time

You know how some people get lost in their own little world while reading or dancing? Well for me it's music and these songs, the lyrics just makes me want to curl up in a ball and cry like the pathetic fool I am. This song... oh God, I feel like I can't breathe as this song makes me think about what happened between Bobby Ray and I. I have to get out of here.
"Whoa! Where you going?" Blaise asks grabbing onto my arm looking confused.
"I have to get out of here," I say looking back in Bobby Ray's direction, my mouth remaining opened slightly when he appears in front of me and all I can remember was our conversation the day before. I gave him a stupid ultimatum and I don't know what he's going to do now as we stand here staring at each other.
Before I formulate a thought far less for a word Bobby Ray grabs hold of my lapels and presses his lips to mine. I'm trembling as I fist the back of his jacket, my breathing laboring as we are connected like this. My heart freaking dies then comes back to life kicking and screaming in that moment.
When Bobby Ray finally releases me he looks at all the people staring at us in dead silence. Bobby Ray's eyes darken dangerously as he glares at every one around us.
"What?" he barks making a good bit of them look nervously away from the both of us.
"I didn't take you for a queer Jones," Kyle says, jaw ticking as he glares at us.
"What you gonna do about it Alby?" Bobby Ray asks stepping up to him.
"N-Nothing man. Happy you figured your sexuality out," Kyle stutters and Bobby Ray continues glaring at him until he staggers away.
My knees are so weak when I look around registering the looks on everyone's faces, most were shock, some blank and only a few seemed happy and I blanch at the squealing girls. I don't think I can possibly walk but I do, stumbling after Bobby Ray as he basically drags me outside of the school.
"W-What was that?" I finally ask as we came to a stop out on the football field and Bobby Ray grabs onto his short hair with both hands and turns in a slow circle.
