Being an almost eighteen year old dad is hard. Responsibilities are piled sky high and the odds of me being a good dad like mine was to me is quite bleak. But the smile on my baby's face makes me think I'm doing alright.
But along came Bobby...
Just stay strong 'cause you know I'm here for you.

I think I am freaking out right now.
What if they don't hire me because I got a kid?
I mean Kyros is a great kid that listens when you speak to him. He's very well behaved when we're out. But some people don't see past 'he's got a kid'.
I dressed Ky in a pair of brown colored shorts, a nice t shirt and a pair of sandals Leah got him last month. I myself, well I dressed smartly, in a pair of jeans and a nice-ish shirt that still fit me and my only dress shoes. I feel naked without my hoodie but desperate times eh?
I mapped out our journey. We'll take the bus to the stop and we'll walk from there. It should be a ten minute walk to the address. The lady said it's the fifth house, a big white house on the hill once you get onto their street.
All sorts of things ran through my mind up until we stood in front of the sign to Red Oak Drive. I tend to over think everything and only the most disastrous result is foremost on my thoughts.
Oh god, please don't let this job fall through.
"Baby, remember to be good ok?" I kissed Ky's forehead quickly when we turned onto the street.
"Daddy I'm tired." Ky whined. Poor thing.
"How about I give you a piggy back ride?" I smiled and stooped down so that he can climb onto my back. He giggled loudly and I stopped abruptly when the house came into view.
"Whoa." Ky breathes. I hear ya buddy.
I put Ky back on his feet and he just stares. Heck I'm staring too. Slowly I took Ky's hand and we walked even slower to the front door. I wiped my hands on my jeans about ten times before I rang the doorbell.
"Hi!" I almost feinted when the door flew open and the woman standing there squealed.
"Oh my god! You must be Theron and he is so cute!" she rushed at Ky like a raging bull and he grabbed onto my leg.
"Oh h-hello y-yes I'm Theron and this is Kyros." I stammered out.
"I'm Mrs. Jones but you can call me Missy." she says and I can hear her country-like accent, it's quite soothing. She's wearing a nice fitted blue dress and flip flops. She does look kind of familiar but I can't place my finger on it. There's something about Mrs. Jones.
