Being an almost eighteen year old dad is hard. Responsibilities are piled sky high and the odds of me being a good dad like mine was to me is quite bleak. But the smile on my baby's face makes me think I'm doing alright.

I know I was freaking out but damn I didn't mean to be such an asshole. Now Theron avoids me like I'm some kind of fucking disease he doesn't want to catch-ever.
He even got Ky into some kind of daycare thing so my mom's not looking after him anymore and I seriously miss the kid.
Theron's back to being a loner again. I saw him brush Blaise off a few times and hiding behind his hoodie once more.
The Christmas season is coming in, everywhere you look there are decorations and lights and couples kissing under mistletoe in the mall and I'm sick of it which is why I'm at home watching A Royal Christmas on Hallmark- contradictory, I know.
"How come you're not out gallivanting with your horse of a twin?" mom asks running her fingers through my hair.
"Just a bit under the weather," I mumble keeping my eyes on the TV.
"Scoot over," Mom shoves at my head and she sat pulling me back down till my head is resting on her lap and her fingers are running through my hair again.
"I miss Ky," Mom says sadly and I nod.
"Can't you go over to Theron's place and ask for a play date or something?" Mom pouts at me and I look up at her. Goodness, you'd think she was the teenager and not me.
"I can try," I finally concede when she kept up looking down at me like an overgrown child.

I paced a few moments. What the hell do I even say?
I shook out my hands out a bit and knocked before nerves got the best of me. I look down the hallway wiping my sweaty palms down the front of my jeans silently cursing that Theron and Ky live in such a neighborhood.
The door squeaks open and Ky screams my name while launching himself at my legs and my heart jolts at hearing his adorable voice.
"Ky I told you don't open the door..." Theron trails off when he sees me.
"Um hey?" that's all I had. Theron just tilts his chin at me, eyes narrowed slightly.
"My mom asked me to come over and ask you if we can have Ky for the day," I got out quickly, "I'll bring him back before bedtime I promise," I tacked on.
