Chapter 8 Tori

I pulled Lis aside and shouted over the music "about the roller coaster thing Lis... I don't like them either. They frighten me the way they move unexpectedly" I said "Well what I do is, I focus on the music, the lyrics not the beat and it takes my mind off of where I am, what I'm doing. Even better, nobody has to know" I winked and Lis nodded.

We walked back over to the boys and they pulled us onto the biggest roller coaster at the park.

I squeezed Lis's hand tightly before getting in the set behind her with Ambrose.

Darrel sat next to her and have her a reassuring look, "it'll be over before you know it" he smiled.

Lis looked at me and I winked, laughing when Ambrose wrapped his arm over my shoulder.

"Please keep your hands and feet in the cart and do not get out of your cart until someone comes to get you" a woman standing on the platform said.

"Let's get this over with" I muttered leaning into Ambrose shoulder.

I already felt sick, a unsettling feeling rested in the pit of my stomach.

The cart started moving and Lis turned to looked at me one more time, I forced a reassuring smile and she turned back to Darrel leaning in like I was.

The coaster went down and my stomach dropped out from underneath me.

Ambrose and Darrel were laughing and screaming like this was the best thing to ever happen to them but Lis and I were silent, holding our heads low and focusing on the music.

When the roller coaster finally came to a halt and someone let us out of the cart I stumbled up to Lis and muttered "Remind me never to do that again"

Lis just laughed as both boys slipped their arms around our waists and asked if we wanted to go on the Ghost Train.

"Yes!"Lis and said in unison and I smiled winking at her again.

We arrived at the platform and I stared at the fake cardboard drawings of ghosts on the entrance gate and groaned "I hate ghosts"

Ambrose laughed and pulled me closer to him "I'll protect you" he whispered and I giggling.

"You better" I shoved him slightly and moved away swaying my hips as I approached Lis.

"Hey, Ambrose and I are going to go and check out the stalls over there" I pointed in a random direction and Lis raises her eyebrows.

"We'll meet you back her in 1 hour" Lis smiled and I laughed mouthing thank you.
