Chapter 25 lis
"Where's Darrel?" Tori asked looking around the room.
"He's in the movie theatre, I told him to stay there tonight" I shrugged, rolling my shoulders back to release the unwanted tension.
Tori cautiously crawled out if her bed and walked over to mine and I move over to make some room for her.
She doesn't crawl under the covers, just lays on top of them and I snuggled into my pillows watching her from the corner of my eye. She was facing the ceiling her hands placed over her stomach carefully and her eyes wide open.
I on the other hand, was lying on my stomach my body hidden under the big fluffy comforter.
"Blue" Tori grins at the ceiling and I raise my head.
"What?" I ask confused.
"Blue" she stated like it was obvious.
I shook my head still not understanding what she meant.
She sighed and explained "There's this game I know" Tori starts "I say a word and you reply with the first word that comes to mind" she shrugged and finally looked at me.
I stared at her for a moment and she gestured for me to speak.
"Blue" she said again.
"Tori" I said.
"Lights" she bounced back.
"This is gonna sound stupid" I ran my fingers through my hair and drape the strands over my face "but I think of lights"
Tori laughed and replied "flying"
"Freedom"
"Rage"
"Fight"
"Violence"
"War"
"Blood"
"Spilled"
"Bubble"
"That Quote!" I exclaimed jumping up to look at Tori and nearly falling off the bed.
"What?" She asked staring at the ceiling again.
"The quote that says "No matter how old I am. If I see a bubble I will hunt it down" I explained collapsing back into the bed and pulling the blanket up around my chin.
"Okay..." Tori dragged the word out suspiciously and the shouted "Laughter"
"Fun"
"Paint"
"The first time I really got to know you"
Tori was silent for a moment and I noticed the ghost of a smile appear on her face as she laughed coldly.
"Weapons" she snapped.
"My cousin" I shrugged and I saw her glance at me suspiciously.
"Boy"
"Haha" I stutter shaking my hair in front of my face again. "Date" I lie through my teeth and I can tell Tori knows I'm not being truthful but she lets it slide.
"Hunger"
"The orphaned" I mutter and Tori looks at me with concern.
"Cage" she says slowly.
"Something I never want to be in" I sighed moving a little to get more comfortable.
"Star" she whispered.
