Although they hesitated at first, knowing it was Father Maurice, my friends turned up at the church even in the rain. While they were arriving, Father Maurice had put my phone into a small little box and kept it aside in a corner near the centre.
When all my friends, Kat, Ronnie and Jayce all showed up, we sat down at the benches and I took a deep breath as Father Maurice looked at me expectantly for an explanation.
"Okay... Guys?" I turn to my friends who give me confused looks. "Remember that time we all received an email to some weird website about summoning demons or whatever?"
"That weird priestess?" Jayce gave me an amused look. I was sure he didn't realise how grave this was.
"Yes. So remember how we all decided to mess around with the page and thought it was all for fun?" I glanced at Father Maurice and noticed his expression turning grave again. "So turns out... It's not fake..."
"I fear you children have summoned something unknowingly..." Father Maurice turned over to face my friends. "I have heard of this particular ritual. It leads to the same consequences and I have had people come to me about this. No one ever believes these rituals actually work..."
"It wasn't supposed to work. It's some fake cruddy old website." Jayce shook his head and raised an eyebrow.
"No, son. I'm afraid it's very real." The Father looked down at the cross in his hands. "There was a book we used a long time ago. We used it as proof of the evil that can roam on Earth. We tried our best to tell everyone about the dangers of this book. But what is interesting, is that this book has life of it's own. It belongs to the devil and he has power over it."
"So, where's the book now? You've never used it with us." Ronnie began.
"That's the thing. It's disappeared. We fear it might have gotten into someone from our church. They might have stolen the book from us."
"Oh..." Kat said softly. "But wait, hold on. What exactly is going on here?"
"Remember that random ritual we performed just for the fun of it?" I tried to jog their memory.
"Oh yeah." Jayce grinned. "The one with the blood."
"It's not funny." I frowned. "It's not funny, at all. It was some summoning ritual and I think it actually worked because something is haunting me."
"Very funny, Ally. I can't believe you'd call us out here for some stupid prank–" Ronnie began.
"I'm not joking. We've summoned some electronic demon or something." I groaned.
"Alyssa? Could you explain to me how this ritual exactly took place?"

Ah, yes. Ritual time. Just so you guys know, I'm just faking this ritual.
Quick opinion question : Should the next chapter just be a flashback or them explaining the ritual to Father Maurice? Let me know in the inline comments guys!
And sorry for the lack of photos! I really had no time to find any.
I know the horror action is still amiss, but worry not, I need to build a good back story for this to be entertaining, you know! So let this build up fulfil you till then!~
Hope you enjoyed guys!
