It took me weeks to recover. I came to in the hospital 2 days after the wild shenanigan at my house. Emergency dispatchers showed up and saw us attacked. Near massacred, they said.
Their story was that my friend, Kat visited my friends and I, got jealous that she wasn't invited and tried to kill us. I tried protesting... But... Who would believe some story about a demon and a mother controlling it?
We never saw Kat again after that night.
As for my parents; I hear my mother calls Allen from time to time. I tossed my phone in the bin and joined the church. I'm going to be a nun, where demons can't get me easily.
According to my mom – or so I hear – my dad left her for another woman. I wouldn't blame her. I think she's a bit loony. She isn't allowed inside our church.
I miss my friends. Ronnie was stitched back up... But I think she's in a sort of shock. She doesn't talk anymore. Selective mutism due to post traumatic stress disorder, the psychologist said.
Jayce died. I think we all knew that.
Ivana lived. She visits me in church often. I asked her to help me look for Kat. She's working on it. She promised she'll help.
Allen and I didn't really talk much in the past; but we've gotten closer lately. He told me what happened that night. How he was just playing his guitar after plugging it into the socket above the counter when he just got electrocuted. He spent days on the hospital bed thinking the socket had water spillage or something. Thankfully, when I told him my story, he actually believed me. He visits me in church often too.
Father Maurice asked a big favor from me just yesterday. He suspects that my mother has the evil book in her hands. He wants me to get it back.
And I plan to get it back to him.
•DON'T•TAP•
Ivana and I walk back into my house. The moment I step into my parents' bedroom, I can't ignore the pungent smell inside it. What has my mother been doing in here anyway? Allen stands at the doorway as lookout while Ivana and I search the room.
I turn to the big closet.
"Hey, Allen, didn't mom have a bookshelf in her closet?" I ask in a whisper.
"Yeah, I remember." He nods. I go over to the closet and try to open the door. Somehow, it refused to budge. Ivana comes over to help me and we manage to yank the door open. The smell is unbearably bad over here. I switch the light on and my eyes widen in horror. Ivana gasps to scream and manages to cover her mouth in time, close her eyes and look away.

Hey guys!!! This is the third to last chapter. Our story has finally reached the end.
Two more chapters left guys!
Thank you guys for reading I'll definitely insert a shout out chapter to everyone after the book is finished when I get around to it back home.
I'm thinking of whether or not to write a prequel to this book starring Alyssa's mother. I don't think I can manage another visual story but it'll certainly have huge plot points.
What do you guys think I should call it?
Also, do you guys want to wait two more days for the other two chapters or should I just hand it to you now? *insert laugh emoji*
Well, I think we can wait. A wait makes a story worth it, you know.
Hope you enjoyed reading this! And hope you're excited for the end!
