Urgh, it's been a while! :( Sorry, Wattpad is really stupid, and so am I :P Anyways, without further ado, chapter 7 *bows*

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

French class finished quickly as everyone was working on ideas for their project. As soon as the bell rang, I waited for Blaise then dashed out of the room. "Avril!" I heard my name being called. I looked up and saw Blake coming over.

He threw his arm around my shoulder when I saw him. "Hey Blake." I smiled.

"Hey Avril. So, are you and the girls doing a dance again this Friday?" He asked.

"Yep." I smiled.

"Awesome! Did you see the crowd last Friday?" He asked excitedly.

I laughed. "Yeah, they were going crazy!"

"Yeah, you girls are amazing! Anyways, can I walk you to lunch?" He asked nicely, but it sounded sort of like he was asking me out.

"Um..." I flicked my eyes to Blaise. He wasn't looking at me, but he was staring off into space. "I'm kind of showing the new guy around today, but we'll sit with you okay? Blaise already knows James, and I think it would be good for him to meet more people." I smiled at him, saying the last part quietly so Blaise wouldn't see.

He smiled back at me but he kind of looked a bit rejected. "Okay. See you in a few." Then he walked away.

Blake couldn't...like me...could he?

No way.

Well then there was that time when I said I was cold and he gave me his jacket like a good boyfriend would...

Nah, he wouldn't have a crush on me and not have told me yet, he was too confident.

I turned and saw Blaise standing there, glaring into space, near where Blake was. I waved my hand in front of his face and laughed as he snapped out of it. "Come on. We're having lunch with my friends today." I started walking away, but after a few seconds I looked back and saw Blaise hadn't moved.

"No way am I eating with your friends Blondie." He stated, shaking his head.

"Come on! Please? James will be there." I said persuasively.

I saw him crumble when I said James. After all, they were like best buddies from elementary school. "Fine." He groaned.

I smiled and continued walking to our lockers. I put my books in my locker as Blaise did the same, then we walked into the cafeteria.

As soon as we walked in, the entire caf quieted down. Most of the girls were sending me jealous glares, and the boys looked jealous of Blaise. I ignored them and  I could see Jessi and Lacey smiling and waving me over to their table. I shook my head, mouthing, "Sorry." to them, pointing to the table where Jace, James, and most of the football team were, with a couple cheerleaders. Skyler was sitting with Jason, smiling and laughing quietly. She sent me a small thumbs up and I laughed quietly, still walking to get my food.

I got a salad, a carton of milk, and a piece of cake. Hey, so what? I had been eating well for a while, I deserved a piece of cake.

Yeah, because a week is a while...

ALICIA! God, you're so annoying!

Yeah? Well you're dillusional. You have a second self!

Whatever.

I took my tray and started walking over to the table, Blaise copying my movements, before Jace came running up to me. "Purple monkeys." She whispered our secret code to meet in the bathrooms into my ear before running out of the cafeteria.
